Hopefully

every ones job is up for grabs!!! WTF?? Its not what did you do for me for the last 3 years, its not what did you do for me in the last game, its not what can you do for me in the last 10 plays….Its who can step for the next play. I will say it again, take the players names off the jerseys. F..k them, its about the team and winning.

Like I said before.
Hall and Cooper make the team. Basket is done.
Hall will compete to start at return man, to save Maclin and Jackson

Cooper is a beast.

Historically under Reid, the Eagles have kept 6 WR’s, which would of course give Baskett and Hall the opportunity to both make the team, and they also plan on giving Hall some looks at RB.

But this year, with all the depth along the DL and at LB, it’s gonna be hard to justify 6 WR’s. TBD.

Formerly Bye, Dawk :(

by JimmyK on Jul 30, 2010 4:27 PM EDT up reply actions

The fact that they are gonna keep 3 TEs will change that

But yeah, the breakdown is probably gonna be

3 QB
5 RB/FB
3 TE
5 WR
9 OL
10 DL
6 LB
5 CB
4 S
3 Specialists

by birds'n'raiders on Jul 30, 2010 4:36 PM EDT up reply actions

5RB/FB?

FB:
Weaver

RB:
McCoy
Bell
Scott/Buckley (or do you think both stay?)

I think they’ll go 3-deep at RB rather and keep that extra receiver. Not like they run the ball, anyway. :-)

by BrianS on Jul 30, 2010 4:46 PM EDT up reply actions

Reid has said several times in the past that he likes to keep 5 RB/FBs

Most recently he said it when we signed some CFL guy late in the 09 season

Charles Scott will have to work hard to not make this team. The possibilities, in my eyes, are:

McCoy, Bell, Scott, Weaver, Wright
or, if they think Bell or Scott would be fine emergency fill-ins at FB
McCoy, Bell, Scott, Mallet, Weaver

by birds'n'raiders on Jul 30, 2010 4:52 PM EDT up reply actions

There is too many other positions that we are loaded at to keep an extra scrub RB.

DAT ASS!!

by DickMuffin on Jul 30, 2010 5:14 PM EDT up reply actions

4 running backs do not make the 53 man roster. It’s always been 1 FB and 3 RB.

by Route36 on Jul 31, 2010 1:18 PM EDT up reply actions

They keep a 5th RB/FB on the PS if that is what you are talking about but they don’t on the active roster.

by The Legend on Jul 30, 2010 8:38 PM EDT up reply actions

True, only we keep 6 DE.

Usually we keep 5 DEs w/ 6 WR. But this year. There is no way we cut Parker or DTO or Sapp.

Abiamiri is totally DONE
as we keep
Graham, Cole, Tapp, Parker, DTO, Sapp.—-Abiamiri is DONE.
if you want to keep 6 WR, we gotta trip DE most likely.

Basket and Cooper bring the same skills. I go with the young guy.

Yo man was it you I was arguing with Hank > Cooper...

cuz if so.. I look to be wrong. Just thought Id throw it out there most people dont seem to bite the bullet when the call one wrong nowadays.

by IgglesFanDeployd on Jul 31, 2010 3:03 AM EDT up reply actions

Also

Tupou has been playing with us as a G almost exclusively since we drafted him

Surprises me is that Spuds has yet to mention Sapp…Moncur was running with the 3’s instead of Sapp

Sounds like an injury is looming for #94

by birds'n'raiders on Jul 30, 2010 4:41 PM EDT reply actions

Watching Jerrail McCuller throw Sapp with ease the other day made wonder if Sapp is long for this team. His game right now is all speed around the edge. Moncur’s a fucking fighter with some good pop. Dunno if Sapp has that hate in him yet.

But it’s still early.

and a few more notes

Clay Harbor seems to be dropping a lot of balls
Ingram seems kinda slow out there
Teo-Neshiem looks skinny and a little overmatched
Lindley is great in man coverage
Clayton is outstanding in zone and man

by birds'n'raiders on Jul 30, 2010 4:44 PM EDT reply actions

My boy clayton is gonna be lighting it up

I wouldn’t be suprised if he got 2-3 picks as the nickle linebacker. boomer sooner
lindley= next revis????? hopefully
teo needs to bulk up he prolly wont do anything till the end or beginning of next eyar
i hope either harbor or ingram steps it up

by allmaddenking on Jul 30, 2010 5:06 PM EDT up reply actions

2 picks for Allen sounds impressive :)

by fhqwagads on Jul 30, 2010 5:03 PM EDT reply actions

Brandon Graham weighing in at 278

Undersized? 6-1.5, 278…undersized my ass.

Before we call Lindley the next Revis, lets take everything with a grain of salt. Lindley is an old rookie at 24, meanwhile Revis is only 25 and in his 4th season. Case and point, Lindley has very little upside.

by birds'n'raiders on Jul 30, 2010 5:17 PM EDT reply actions

He is considered short, with short arms.

He is like Chris Benoit, he’s got alligator arms. (Or maybe T Rex arms)

by yophillybro on Jul 30, 2010 5:22 PM EDT up reply actions

Not what I was arguing

I am contesting the fact that idiots had him labeled as too small to stand up against the run. He was a better player against the run than against the pass at Michigan. He had 26 tackles for loss last year. That is actually the highest number by a defensive lineman since i can remember. He isn’t tall, but he is stout as they come, with speed and agility to boot

by goldenbird09 on Jul 30, 2010 5:32 PM EDT reply actions

yeah u got a point..........

but still he shud make the team, look wat DA did with the Rams, he wasnt great but he was a contributor.

All I know is

If chad Hall makes it to the practice squad, he’ll be signed off it in about 3 fucking seconds by some other team.

What about Jordan Norwood? This guy has been recognized quite a bit by Spuds. Also seems to have a great work ethic and has potential as a possession, speedy receiver.

Lindley

he was my favorite value pick, draft day. I think he’s gonna be a really good player for us. That Nickel spot will be his in no time.

Riley Cooper is another who I thought would be impressive in a 4th WR role.

by Randy Marsh on Jul 30, 2010 10:03 PM EDT reply actions

No doubt my man...............

he was matched up all year with the best wideouts in the SEC and held his own pretty damn well, he didnt get recognized because he didnt put up the sexy INT numbers but i think he led the conference in break-ups. I think we got our future corner and Sheldons replacement as well as a future pro-bowler hopefully : )

I must say, aside from the Oline, I like this offense. Unfortunately that’s a pretty big weakness.

by SJPhillyVT on Jul 30, 2010 11:07 PM EDT reply actions

without question I think the offensive line is the biggest issue. and the secondary on defense.

welcome to bgn

Don’t let the kolb haters bite you. Its contagious.

2010-11 Predictions:

Kevin Kolb will go to the probowl and complete >65% of passes.

Jeremy Maclyn will have more receptions than Miles Austin & Steve Smith

Graham will have the starting LDE spot tied up by week 5, win ROTY, and have >10 Sacks

11-5 finish.
