Around SBN: Roy Nelson Willing to Pay for His Next Opponent's Drug Test

Probably not, but according to the official UFL website, he has just signed with the Florida Tuskers. That makes three former Eagles that have recently established connections with UFL - the other two being Hollis Thomas and Shawn Andrews, who were both drafted by the Omaha Nighthawks.

It doesn’t look like Shawn will be joining anytime soon.

Jim Johnson(RIP). Brian Westbrook(36). Donovan Mcnabb(5). Brian Dawkins(20). Sheldon Brown(24). Jeremiah Trotter(54).

Thanks for the memories...

True

That should have been “joined” the ranks of the UFL. I’m still not entirely clear on their drafting process.

I think Shawn is doing a dumb thing by not joining, he should join, show he can still play and then sign with a NFL team after he has proven he’s still good

Wow. another draft pick wasted on shawn andrews.

If Hollis Thomas and Shawn Andrews sign

I will have to make the trip to Omaha to watch them take on the Flordia Tuskers. It would be the closest thing to an Eagles game for me. Omaha is only 2 hours away

That's what's so great about these UFL teams

They’re moving to markets that don’t currently have professional football, tapping a relatively untapped market. Did you hear Ahman Green’s going to be the Nighthawks’ starting HB?

by Bob_Q on Jun 10, 2010 5:36 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, I saw that Ahman signed yesterday…the closest thing we have to a professional team is arena football…Go Barnstormers! I am defintley going to try and go to that game
