Eagles event cancellation angers fans - News - Citizens Voice
Something shady seemed to be going down at an Eagles signing in Hazelton on Saturday.

Eagles cautious on Herremans injury | Philadelphia Inquirer | 06/05/2010
"There's no problems. He's fine to practice," Reid said. "He's got a little pain in the arch, and we've got to get that settled down. "His pain was on top of his foot [last year]. This is on the bottom, and it's more muscular than anything else. We'll just see how he does here. There's a chance he misses next week, but he'll be back and ready for training camp if he does."

Determined Dimitri: Door Open for Eagles' Patterson
"I’m a corner, and we cover wide receivers. The disadvantage is, they practice catching the ball all day, while we practice covering all day, so that’s something I need to work on every day – finishing, finishing, finishing," said Patterson, one of a handful of selected veterans participating in last week’s organized team activities.

In the latest show of Philadelphia sports figures showing their support for the Flyers' efforts in the Stanley Cup Finals, the Union took the field tonight—in Chicago, mind you—wearing Flyers t-shirt jerseys.

Bell hopes to continue making Super Bowl memories | Philadelphia Daily News | 06/05/2010
MIKE BELL CAN always watch the tape. Bell, the free-agent signee who just completed a sweltering week of OTAs, is a running back who won the Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints a little less than 4 months ago. The Saints shocked the Colts on Feb. 7. Three weeks later, Bell became a restricted free agent, and on March 17 he signed an offer sheet with the Eagles that New Orleans ultimately declined to match.

Eagles-Texans game to air on WPHL | Philadelphia Daily News | 06/04/2010
The Eagles' game against the Houston Texans on Thursday, Dec. 2, will air locally on WPHL along with the NFL Network, Tribune Broadcasting announced yesterday. NFL policy dictates that games on ESPN and the NFL Network must be simulcast on free over-the-air TV in the markets of the two teams.

That’s a pretty good translation. I’m loving the German forum talk, I took a year of it in school.

I would have loved to have taken German in high school

but my school didn’t offer it. I took French, which is pretty good language in its own right, but I would have preferred German.

Maybe it’s just me.

My German teacher basically gave me an A because I talked soccer with him all the time. One of my best classes senior year.

Even 50 years ago, French was a worthwhile language to learn. Currently, it is increasingly useless for both business, diplomatic, and number of speakers. Better off learning Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), German, or several other languages with more practical applications.

I wouldn’t say that. EU business is done in French and lots of African business is done in French.

I was thinking about Patterson and if we keep Macho at CB does he make the team or do we keep 3 Safeties or does someone else get cut if he makes it?

What the hell happened with the signings in Hazelton? Does anyone know why they left or why they didnt sign the autographs? Aparently they were there and ready to sign but at the last minute the event was cancelled and the fans were turned away without getting a chance to talk to the players.

I wonder if it's similar to what happened with the Pats last month.

It sounds like it’s the store’s fault, though it didn’t give enough info to point fingers.

It does sound like the stores fault. The players were there and waiting to meet the fans. Is it bc the store was selling fake ass jerseys?

Straight from their website
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the signing scheduled for Saturday, June 5th, 2010 at our store in the Laurel Mall was canceled.

It does seem like something was going on behind the scenes there, but again, we don’t know the facts, so it’s not worth speculating yet.

Some woman on Celek’s facebook was pissed as hell. I told to her to chill out, she just kept going and going, haha. I’m sure it’s annoying, but did she really think it was Brent’s fault, or that ripping him would make it better in any way?

They said on the news (not sure if its true) that the store may be under investigation by the F.B.I. so the Eagles organization pulled out.

Official’s from the NFL went to the Laurel Mall in NEPA and confiscated jerseys. Joint investigations with the PSP and Immigration and Customs Enforcement onto ‘The Sports Scene’ store. The store is in the process of refunding money for tickets sold in advance.

2010-11 Predictions:

Kevin Kolb will go to the probowl and complete >65% of passes.

Jeremy Maclyn will have more receptions than Miles Austin & Steve Smith

Graham will have the starting LDE spot tied up by week 5, win ROTY, and have >10 Sacks

11-5 finish.

doesn’t take much practice to not be able to tackle on bubble screens and get burnt on double moves…. personally, i think dimitri has a shot!

Anyone else a bit worried about Herremans?

Not good when a guy that is lynchpin on their line & they are relying upon heavily this year has had reoccurring foot injuries now for the past 2 years.

Did anyone go to the Signing in Lancaster?

I wanted to go but it was during my sister’s baby shower. If anyone went… how’d it go?

Totally.

“keine” means no in German, so I suppose it means that Demps is no option as starter.
