Pirates Put Fired Pierogi Back in the Game - Andy Hutchins - The Sporting Blog - Sporting News
In seriousness, Kurtz' original post wasn't as egregious as the Philadelphia Eagles employee who blasted that team last year, but the Pirates deserve some praise—and a rollback of some of the rhetoric directed at them—because it seems like they understand their mistake was taking any action at all. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Kurtz was actually rehired on Saturday morning, and that the PR firestorm had no effect on the decision.

Charlie Garner!

Now there was a burner at RB who from what I remember had trouble learning our playbook. Then went off to Oakland and had a very solid career under Gruden.

and i can’t believe the mocks have begun already!

I am pretty sure that Garner came here after he was at Oakland because Buck was injured and we needed a backup.

Garner was drafted by Philadelphia in round 2 of the draft, then spent two years in SF, three in Oakland, and one in Tampa Bay. His best years were in SF and Oakland, and he was clearly done when he got to TB. He never returned to Philadelphia, though some thought he would be a good fit in Reid’s offense.

He tried to get with my college girlfriend after we broke up

She did give him her number but never went out with him, though he kept on calling her. I always soured on him after that, not sure if it’s because he tried to get with her or if he sucked so bad that he couldn’t even score with a college girl. Though she was hot and couldn’t give a shit about football or players.

the team needs link

was one of the worst written things i’ve ever had the displeasure to lie my eyes upon.

and I’d say our needs are (in order):

CB
OLine depth
S depth

You’re both right. It had good points but the author didn’t proofread very well.
