Bradley Leaves Practice With Tweaked Calf
Linebacker Stewart Bradley left Tuesday's practice with what was later classified as a tweaked calf.
Bradley left the field during 7-on-7 team drills and then had his leg worked on by some of the team trainers. He later left the field under his own power. The injury is not considered serious.

WHAT THE HELL
are we really going to go through another injury plagued year? Why does the injury bug make Philadelphia it’s home?
PLEASE no more injuries
I don’t want to go through another year playing “musical chairs” with the linebackers.
I'm getting to the point that i want everyone in bubble wrap until week 1

What's next.
Kevin Kolb suffers 3rd degree burns under center when Nick Cole rips one in the heat.
I don't know what it is about your face,

UH OH!
When i played soccer in high school one of my friends tweaked his calf. He was perfectly fine within a week, but when he finaly got back on the field he ruptured his achilles tendon…true story. Lets hope nothing like this happens

hah
those are two completely unrelated events, why would you imply one caused the other?
i had shin splints during soccer training camp one year, and then i was fine, and then i threw up during the last practice.
i got a minor concussion this year, and then about two months after that i got a really sore throat for a week.
He told me that the trainer said it did
Not directly, but if he didn’t tweak his calf he would not have ruptured his achilles. Apparently he still was not 100%

It is true
Often if you pull a muscle badly, it will heal (initially) shorter and stiffer than before. That means that until you work it back in with a gradual increase in reps, range of motion and flexibility, it isn’t going to absorb as much energy from a flex of the related joint as it did before the muscle pull. That energy has to be absorbed by the next ‘link in the chain’ which is the tendon that connects the muscle to the bone. While the muscle is shorter, the tendon is stretched out longer for the same joint position, so under more tension, even as it is having to absorb more energy from a flex or shock. The combination of the two makes it more likely that you blow out the related tendon – at least until you restore the flexibility and range of motion to the muscle group.
I am beginning to wonder if our injury bug is traceable to our strength and conditioning program. We are hearing lots and lots about how much stronger guys are getting in the off-season, but if that is at the expense of flexibility then it may well be contributing to a much higher rate of joint-related injuries. No superstition required. Get AR to hire them a Pilates instructor.

my only point is that
he wasn’t perfectly fine if the tweak led to a ruptured achilles. It was a bad decision to let him back on the field, retrospectively.
I'm pretty big into superstitions
are you trying to say bradley is going to get VD from this calf tweak?
I think it’s time to fire our entire strength and conditioning staff and start over.
They call me The Professor.
not to worry
I think he’s going to have some minor injuries while he gets back into football shape again. Is it the same leg?
Please...PLEASE
Let this be nothing more than just a tweak..
New rule for Bradley, btw.
He sits out of all major training events until Game 1 except for the important ones.
When he is on the field, Nobody is allowed to make contact with Bradley during the duration of the events at all. When Bradley is on the field, everyone is forced to play by “touch football” rules.
