Lets do a little hypothetical here and pretend we're all optimists (that's you too EvilBanner)...
lets say Kolb = Aaron rodgers in his first year starting.
If Kolb = Rodgers our offensive line won't have to be so great; Rodgers made due with an abysmal unit by utilizing a quick release on 3 and 5 step drops with good accuracy. Our offensive line has question marks, but it will be considerably better than the unit the packers had. The packers had playmakers at wide receiver comparable to ours (Avant = Driver / Maclin = Jennings / Desean = fastest man in the league and incomparable).
If Kolb = Rodgers our defense will be rewarded. We will sustain drives and score points, allowing our defense to do what it does best - play fresh, fast and in obvious passing situations.
If Kolb = Rodgers we contend for a superbowl year one.... our offensive line is better, especially in the ever important screen game, and our defense is better than that packer unit was. We also have a much better backfield (McCoy >>>>> Grant)
If Kolb has a first year like Rodgers or Matt Ryan or some of the other guys who were ready when they became starters, do you agree we are Superbowl contenders? (Poll) Why/Why not?
