Defense notes from Eagles OTAs
We'll continue to aggregate some coverage from the Eagles first OTA with a look at the defense. Here's the first team
| DE | Trent Cole |
| DE | Juqua Parker |
| DT | Mike Patterson |
| DT | Broderick Bunkley |
| WILL | Ernie Sims |
| MIKE | Stewart Bradley |
| SAM | Moises Fokou |
| CB | Asante Samuel |
| CB | Ellis Hobbs |
| FS | Marlin Jackson |
| SS | Quintin Mikell |
Brandon Graham and Juqua Parker are splitting time with the starting unit at LDE. Darryl Tapp and Daniel Te'o-Nesheim were rushing the passer from the DT position while the Eagles were in nickel. Ricky Sapp was also playing DE in some nickel packages.
Marlin Jackson & Stewart Bradley are both in the starting lineup. Both were on IR last season with knee injuries.
Stewart Bradley blanketed Brent Celek on one play forcing a bad throw, while Jeremy Maclin "torched" Macho Marris for a TD in a no timeout drill.

Ugh… Not sure what’s worse… That Macho got torched, or that Andy doesn’t plan on fixing his penchant for wasting all his timeouts.
Formerly Bye, Dawk :(
haha
My "t" and "y" buttons are messed up so don't bitch at me about misspelling, I'm just saying.

But I am pleased to see stu doing well in coverage.
Let’s be honest, the number 1 thing I think we all hope for is to have a single middle linebacker this year.
Especially when it comes to linebackers asked to cover witten
2010-11 Predictions:
Kevin Kolb will go to the probowl and complete >65% of passes.
Jeremy Maclyn will have more receptions than Miles Austin & Steve Smith
Graham will have the starting LDE spot tied up by week 5, win ROTY, and have >10 Sacks
11-5 finish.

Avatar stealing is frowned upon. And so is name stealing bro.
That picture will always belong to Mr. EvilBanner. You could go with EvilLurie. That would be acceptable.
In Kolb we trust
Wonder how much that knee affects the ankle
If Jackson has changed his stride to protect his knee, or because he doesn’t have full range of motion, I’m guess that would put more stress on his other joints. I’m sure somebody around here who’s more schooled in orthopedics can add insight.
ur not wrong

other notes
Hobbs at RCB.. we knew jackson was out of the mix, and with macho getting smoked (and now prolly back to FS for depth anyway) .. this sounds about right.
I am still holding out hope that hanson surprises us all. They had to have seen something to give him that contract.

this is all well and good
but i want to hear about the 2nd and 3rd stringers. From all that I’ve heard, and all the deciphering of Spadaro’s reports, it seems as though Ricky Sapp is really struggling at LB. Did he play there extensively?
What about the DTs? Where is Laws in the rotation?
The rest of the secondary?…
Jason, that starting D doesn't scare anybody.
What’s the real story inside what the Eagles are trying to get us to believe?
This Eagles Team has a suspicious unknown nature that usually is the characteristic of a loser. I hope I'm wrong! E A G L E S EAGLES!
