agree about the Ravens.

My "t" and "y" buttons are messed up so don't bitch at me about misspelling, I'm just saying.

The thing about the Ravens

Is that the defense continues to get OLD, their secondary was a MESS last year. And Joe Flacco and even Sanchez were two QBs who hid behind a decent defense. Flacco was DECENT his rookie year and he didn’t do a whole lot better the year after. I think Cincy is more primed to win the AFC title than the Ravens woujld be.

At least Flacco could make throws well when he needed to. Sanchez has no excuse for 20 picks in less than 350 attempts, especially with a half-decent receiving corps and a very, very good offensive line. Even if he was a rookie.

Berries are nice, but Graham crackers taste pretty good too.

?
Flacco was DECENT his rookie year and he didn’t do a whole lot better the year after.

He certainly was better his second year. His completion percentage went up (60% to 63.1%), threw more touchdowns (14 to 21), had same number of interception in both years (12), threw more yards (2,971 to 3,613) and improved his QB rating (80.3 to 88.9). What do you want him to do last year? Throw 5,000 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 2 picks?

And he should improve on those numbers, especially having Bolden now.

RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.

But as far as making good qb decisions he wasn't that great

in the playoffs, they were showing all the bad decisions he made and all the ways the defenses were confusing him

to further my point

his rating was 39.4 in the playoff games and completed 53% of his passes, no TDs, and 3 picks….. things change when you play decent teams.

jamarcus russell is proof that the nfl needs to make a rookie salary cap...

the guy made stupid amounts of money because of a lunatic owner and a system that allows teams to overpay for kids who have never even played a game in the league. in the midst of the cba fiasco, i’m surprised this issue hasn’t been brought up more often.

yes i have been saying this forever now

and instead of signing vets that might deserve the money teams are tied up in these kids.

Cushing...

Does anyone else remember him saying at the draft “I’ve passed every test there is. I’m not that kind of guy.” Guess he IS that kind of guy…

great business man (or is it thief)

There’s a difference?

You got your equation all bassackwards..

Should be:
Al Davis = Shitty ass Business man OR great philanthropist.

Why is Russel a theif??!? Not like Jamarcus forced Al to draft him… or pay WAY too much.

by Sparki on May 10, 2010 9:34 AM EDT up reply actions

well…one would think that if you get paid around 40 million dollars to play football…one would actually put forth some sort of effort, hence the thief comment.

He signed the contract, but hasn’t honored it by giving it his ALL.

And Al Davis = Crazy Old Bastard obsessed with Combine Statistics.

So the article about the Jets/Giants

comes down to the Giants treat their fans with more class and dignity. Pretty much everyone in the states of New York/New Jersey is already aware of this.
