I havent been around BGN in a while due to being busier than should be humanly allowed - so there is a chance that this thought has been thrown around already and I missed it, but if nobody were to bite on Brian Westbrook what would keep the Eagles from offering him a contract for League minimum or something lowball like that. I think its pretty likely that someone is going to offer him something (although Washington makes zero sense).
The Eagles were able to rid themselves of his contract...which in essense is the reason he was cut right?
Is there anything that precludes a team from cutting someone and then signing them again for a whole lot less money? The Eagles have actually done that before havent they? (cant remember who and dont have time to look)
It's a complete long shot, but if no one signs him i think the Eagles should sign him to a one year deal and let him mentor Shady and play a limited role.
