Paul Domowitch: Kolb is better fit for Eagles' West Coast offense | Philadelphia Daily News | 04/06/2010
Enter Kolb, who is a rhythm passer, who does get the ball out quickly, who is very good at getting the ball to his receivers in stride and taking advantage of their yards-after-the-catch ability.

Amaro, Phillies React to McNabb Trade
The players on the Phillies might have a more hard line approach. When trading an elite player like Cliff Lee or Donovan McNabb, the players would rather send that guy to a team where he can’t come back to haunt them. There’s no chance of Lee getting revenge on the Phillies for trading him since Seattle is not on the schedule this season.
Ashley Fox: Kolb to lead Birds' young guns | Philadelphia Inquirer | 04/06/2010
On his first day as the Eagles' starting quarterback, Kolb got to the NovaCare Complex at 8 a.m. He lifted weights for about 45 minutes, and then walked through the locker room. "It's time to go," he said to DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant, Celek, and the other pass catchers. "He just grabbed me and was very excited," Jackson said. "There is a lot of good, positive energy going around our team."

Vick's role? backup and change of pace QB
With McNabb gone, Vick is clearly #2 behind Kolb. The only way he will be starting is if Kolb either stinks horrendously or gets injured. He might get used on a few wildcat plays (although that could easily get predictable, especially if he and Kolb are both in the backfield), or as a sort of misdirection player (might get a series to shake up the opposing defense a bit, especially if Kolb hasn’t done well in the specific game).
Officially contributing to worldwide confusion since 1997
Right.
Same as it was at the end of the year. And if they trade him this year, i’d be shocked silly.

If and only if they both draft a project/third string QB AND sign someone with experience is in this system (Garcia, or Feeley if he unexpectedly becomes available…I can’t think of anyone else that’s a likely target)
And some QB gets hurt in training camp and they think they can get a good deal for Vick, I think they would trade him.
I think he will finish the year with the Eagles, but I think if they have a chance to move him for value in the retooling effort, they will.
I know it's early and meaningless
But I like the cut of this kid’s jib (however the hell that phrase originated). And I’m happy all the young guns don’t seem too upset that McNabb is gone. That makes me a little more comforted.
P.S. Nice burn on Eddie Jordan.
Jason Campbell
What are the chances we trade Vick away and sign Campbell as back up?
Wonder
If Vick says the same thing in training camp when he is taking a bunch of snaps with the practice team.
