With the 122nd overall pick the Philadelphia Eagles select QB Mike Kafka
With their third pick of the 4th round and second consecutive pick the Eagles select Mike Kafka, QB Northwestern.
As expected, the Eagles take their developmental QB. Quick take from mocking the draft
Coming from a spread offense, Kafka will have to learn how to read a defense better, particularly linebackers in coverage. His arm is only average, but if his field vision improves he could be a real sleeper. He's an above-average athlete for a quarterback and has good footwork and mechanics.

I’m fine with garcia coming in and mentoring both these kids. And writing is on the wall for the vick experiment.
In the meantime… wtf andy reid, you put entirely too much faith in people last named “andrews”. How about someone to play RG or C? Nick cole is good imo, but can’t do both at the same time

Huh?
I like this guy, but Dan LeFevour is still on the board!
Wishlist:
[Desean Jackson] -for- [1,000 Receiving Yards] -currently- [1167] * [PRO BOWL]
[Asante Samuel] -for- [9 Interceptions] -currently- [9] * [PRO BOWL]
[Trent Cole] -for- [12.5 Sacks] -currently- [12.5] * [PRO BOWL]
[Michael Vick] -for- [4 Rushing Touchdowns] -currently- [2]
I dont wanna be a party pooper............
but this is definitely one of if not the most mind boggling drafts ive seen in the Andy Reid era. With players like Rickey Sapp, Myron Rolle, and Perrish Cox still on the board were takin TEs LOL, i guess that shows how much faith they have in C. Ingram stayin healthy this year.
New Game Plan Maybe?
With the blocking TE/FB and the draft of Charles Scott and signing of Mike Bell maybe the Eagles try a little bit more running for Kolb.
i would hope sooooooooo..............
anybody that claims 2 know anything about the Birds should know the key 2 us taking back the division next year hinges on Kolbs play and the defense re-establishing itself as a top D, obviously the main way 2 help Kolb is 2 run the ball, unfortunetly i dont think Andy will ever realize that, 2 bad because hes gonna riun Kolb if he doesnt help him out in the run game.

I hope Ingrahm can stay healthy this year, he seems like he could be a really exciting addition to our already speedy receiving coprs…Is the kid from Miss. St. can catch some balls out of the backfield or give us an option to use weaver in other places, he could be another weapon.
It just seem like we’re investing alot into these devalued guys that are “supposed” to be healthy by next season. I think we’d be lucky if half of the Simms, Lindley, Marlin Jackson, Ingrahm, and whoever else in that bunch actually contribute this season…
