A word about fanposts

PrintSo you may have noticed I deleted a few. LEt's not forget what these are for. If you just want to react to the pick, why not simply do it in the thread on the front page that was made for it?
There was a fanpost asking people whether they like the pick. There is an entire front page thread dedicated to just that.
When we have 8 fanposts about the same thing it buries the ones with something new or original to say. All I ask is that you think first about whether you could simply post your thought as a comment before making a new fanpost about it.
Am I crazy or do we agree here?
[update by JasonB, 04/25/10 12:27 AM EDT ] Another thing. You absolutely can not copy & paste full articles from other sites here. If you want to quote from them or summarize them here that's fine. However, when you copy and paste the whole thing the original writer(or the company that employs them) often contacts me to complain.

But those who decide to go into the ‘useless’ fanposts and spew a bunch of garbage instead of just ignoring it or responding without all the pointless personal attacks need to chill out.
I’m not against profanity or vulgar, but some of these recent fanposts contain some ridiculous amounts of trash from so called “vets”

Thanks for posting this, i think a lot of the newer members dont realize this, i hope thats the case and not that they just dony give shit. But u did u good job of informing the newbies the way we roll on BGN. I have been here for a year and i always comment peoples posts but i have a 2 much respect 4 the site 2 make a garbage post .
