Sal Pal: Eagles trying to trade for Osi Umenyiora

First off, this sounds like total BS to me.... but Sal Paolantonio is telling people that the Eagles are "trying" to swing a trade for Giants DE Osi Umenyiora. So far, Sal Pal is alone in that report and every local beat guy for the Eagles and Giants is disputing it.

It certainly sounds ridiculous, but then again Donovan McNabb was traded to the Redskins this offseason... so who knows what to believe anymore.

I could see us lobbing a phone call their way.
He is rumored to be on the block.
We did trade McNabb to the Skins.
The Steelers did contact the Browns regarding Big Ben.
This stuff DOES happen.

Related question If Umenyiora became available, do we bring him in for a look? The guy is a pretty good DE when healthy. I know we just got Tapp so this question isn’t as prevalent as it would have been one week ago, but what do you thing?

Also, Tuck was the one that could play OLB, right? Not Umenyiora?
