A few things

a) Sheldon was our best corner, but he started to get injured and he's at that dreaded age: 31. He was still our best corner, but the FO obviously has a plan (Nmandi Asomugha anyone)?  BTW for those of you freaking out, THIS ISN'T MADDEN!!! There is very little market for a 31 year old corner especially in the DEEPEST draft in years. Do you THINK someone is going to give a 2nd or 3rd for a 31 year old in a deep draft? Would you? Keep dreaming.

b) This draft is supposed to be one of the DEEPEST in over 15 years. The talent is supposed to be amazing and we basically got two high draft picks (which you can do a lot with). We even made sure all the scouting was on point this year with all the new hirings.

c) Face it when you get older you're an injury risk. How many of our OVER 30 players were hampered by injuries? Westbrook, Brown, Curtis please stand up. How bad did injuries kill us last year? Maybe we're bullet proofing our team from getting so slowed down by injuries.

d) The smarter fans knew McNabb was on the block, and he's going to complete the youth movement. Something tells me there is a sweet deal going on with McNabb that's either going to get us some sweet picks, players, or both.

Either way, there is a cause and effect. It's not like we just released Brown and Gocong, we're going to get something in return and we have a plan to replace Brown's production but IT"S NOT GOING TO BE INSTANTANEOUS SO CHILL. Now if we going into the off season with Samuel, Janson, and Patterson, then you can squirm a little bit..
