One of the latest trade rumors has the Eagles trading up to Atlanta's #19 pick in the first round and giving up some early round picks while still keeping our #24 pick which would later be used to trade to Oakland for Nnamdi Asomugha. In this scenario we would draft Earl Thomas with the #19 pick and with aquiring Asomugha we wouldn't need to draft anybody other defensive backs because we would move either Marlon or Macho back to corner to add depth at that position.
I know some Eagles fan cringing at trading for a corner who is set to make 16 million this year but I love the idea of getting a corner who was only thrown at 28 times this past season(compared to 111 thrown at Darell Reevis). WIth it being the last year of Nnamdi's contract we would probably restructure his deal and give him an extension.
Another trade rumor involves both Colt McCoy and Eric Berry. The Cleveland Browns right now have Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace, not exaclty bring optimism to the city that can't seem to catch a break in the sports world(except for LeBron James). Yeah the Browns could use their 7th pick to draft Jimmy Clausen but they just got rid of one overrated former Notre Dame quarterback, why draft another one. One scenario that is rumored is the Browns draft Eric Berry at #7 we draft McCoy at #24 and swap picks and maybe send them a additional pick to sweeten the deal for them. Some people might see this as a stretch but with alot of teams late in the first round might want to deal their 1st round pick for more picks later in this extremley deep draft like a Baltimore, Arizona, or New York Jets. Bills, Seahawks or Raiders are the teams that could be interested in trading a second round pick and a 3rd or 4th round pick to get a late 1st round pick to get McCoy.
