Garcia also mentioned that there is interest but no contract offering as of yet.
If Garcia, 40, ends up on the Eagles' roster, it will be the Gilroy native's third stint with the club (2006-07, 2009-10).
A report by the Philadelphia Daily News of Garcia's possible return to the Eagles surfaced last week after the Eagles departed with long-time starting quarterback Donovan McNabb, who was dealt to the Washington Redskins on April 4.
McNabb spent 11 season's in Philly.
Garcia, an 11-year vet, served as McNabb's back up during the 2006-07 season, taking over for the injured starter in November of that year, leading the Eagles to an NFC East title and a first-round playoff victory. Garcia threw 10 touchdowns to just two interceptions during a five-game winning streak to close out the regular season.
Garcia and the Eagles reunited last season after McNabb went down Week One with a broken rib. Garcia was released two weeks later.
In his most recent full-time gig, Garcia led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the playoffs in 2008.
