The Eagles, defying all odds, have signed yet another black quarterback. The deal as of yet is hazy, but Moon is rumored to be coming out of retirement and flying to Philly to sign a contract within two days. He is expected to be the Eagles starting QB in 2010.
Rumors that the Eagles are also interested in signing Randall Cunningham are as of yet unsubstantiated, but it is likely based on recent internet chatter from Todd McShay and Adam Scheftler. Both men, known for their peerless reporting (and intimate knowledge of all things NFL) have been rumored to have tweeted on the subject. This news is indeed shocking, as Philadelphia already has two black quarterbacks. J. Whyatt Mondesire, head of the Philadelphia NAACP and longtime critic of Eagles QB Donovan McNabb, is expected to be present at the signing. Stay tuned.
