PrintSo BigBen is going to be in court again due to some devious behavior. I am guessing we can move a QB thier way. The SHitsburg is a good team and all three QB's would be a good fit. Randel El as backup. I bet Plaxico is waiting for a real QB for his prison league, Really amazes me that even with millions of dollars, you still cant get any pussy. Is your personality that twisted. I barely can rub two nickels together and still manage ok. Once again I dont hear the protesters raising hell either. I guess if he would have inappropiately touch a dog!

The protests will come when he is found guilty. Until then, he is not. See we live in this great society that decided it was appropriate to be assumed innocent until PROVEN guilty. They are still just doing interviews. Being a young multi millionaire, puts a giant target on your back, as has been found in quite a few cases. So how about we let the law work here before we start smearing the name of someone. The only thing Ben is currently guilty of, is being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I will reserve my judgement, as everybody should, until something else develops.

Good point but
we lest not forget diving without a license, accused of rape and now another similar infraction. He may have a problem with females. My point was that hypothetically the Steelers may be inline for a QB. I am all for the judicial system. I may or may not have used it myself. You can paint a piece of shit purple but it’s still a piece of shit!
So the only offense the man is guilty of is driving without his license…

I didnt say throw him under a bus, but he may need help. If you drink to much dont go to a bar. If you just were accused of rape dont bring females into places where your gonna get caught up. I am far from perfect but after being in situations I relized I was bringing that shit on myself. I “try not to do those things” He is a great football player but lack common sense apparently.

or they knew about the first one and just make the second one up cuz they think he will settle and make it go away .. but theres no proof he did either one .. when u are found innocent the first time .. the second time you are accused you look guilty .. but in reality they could be like he was accused before .. lets say he assaulted me and see if we can get money

Ben hired Ray Lewis' lawyer
Not to leap to conclusions but if you’re hiring Lewis’ lawyer it’s because you have reason to fear. The Steelers organization is much more concerned about this case than last year’s. There’s something lurking under the surface that we are not privy to but certain parties are. Whether it ever sees the light of day is anyone’s guess. The NFL doesn’t really want to have one of its stars dragged through the mud (although Goodell is a bit of a wild card).
Thing to keep in mind is simply having charges dropped or not being charged does not put you in the clear with Goodell. Ben could be innocent and still be suspended just because of this being one of multiple infractions with the league.
But as for how that impacts the Eagles, it doesn’t. Teams want Michael Vick as their starting QB; they should be looking at Dennis Dixon. Dixon can make NFL throws and despite his horrific knee injury in college, he has retained his elusiveness. He actually looks like an NFL QB and not some gimmick like Troy Smith or Pat White were. If the Steelers have to start Dixon, I don’t think they’re that concerned. They know how to gameplan around an inexperienced QB and limit his attempts.
my girlfriend worked at Docs in Shadyside- (popular bar in Pittsburgh) Rothlesburger frequented the place. I lived about a block away so I was a regular there as well. I think I speak for all of the employees of that bar and a few customers, Big Ben is a Big Asshole… and a lousey tipper

Innocent or guilty...
The guy should’ve never been there. Not to say that athletes can’t have a life or have fun in their free time, but Ben needs to understand that his actions are, and always will be under a microscope. And make no mistake, regardless of the outcome of the investigation or trial, there will ALWAYS be a lot of people who believe these allegations are true. And for that reason, his reputation is now tarnished. Doesn’t make the Rooney family look very good either.
And Zork….kudos. Big Ben didn’t hire a prominent lawyer like that for his health. This one will be interesting. (Although I must admit that if Dennis Dixon was my starting QB, I might be a little concerned, so i gotta disagree a bit on that one)
My take
FWIW, is that there is no way this is going away. When I heard a lawyer on “Mike and Mike” the lawyer stated that the police could prove is the sex was consentual through the rape kit, which would have been administered the night of the incident. There is just zero chance the police would have persued things this far unless they had physical evidence which would hold in court that it was rape.
The fact that the Rooney family has stated they are “concerned” as opposed to just stating they could not comment while the investigation was pending also indicates that Ben is in really, really deep trouble here.
Also, let’s not ignore the seriousness of the charge. If he raped a woman, it ins’t interesting, amusing or the subject of the usual friendly sniping between fans. It’s about as serious as things get.

Ask a woman if she wants to be with the good looking guy with no money or the average guy with millions. 9 out of 10 will go with the guy with the money. My point is, that is one of the first things the girls see when he is out at a bar or something. She probably tricked him into going into the bathroom with her then right afterwards she went outside and told a cop. The girl was only 20 anyway and shouldnt have been there in the first place. She was probably just looking for a way to get money out of it since this happend near atlanta and Ben lives in Pittsburg. There was obviously not going to be a relationship. She probably figured she would atleast get money to pay off her studant loans. Thats how im looking at it for now. Too many women are looking to get a mans money without actually earning it. I know that sounds harsh but that is the world we live in today.

Someone came into work today
and was telling me how he heard the Steelers were gonna trade for McNabb because all of this stuff going on with Big Ben… I laughed at my desk. Just add Pittsburg to the list of potential teams with the other 10.
