Maybe if TO would agree to apologize to a stadium full of Eagles fans and then crawl the length of the Linc, I could see him wear midnight green again.
I mean slice it this way. Imagine you just remodeled your house and are holding a party with all your friends and this guy you thought was one of your best pals gets drunk beyond all recognition, slashes up all the furniture, throws tomato sauce all over the walls, tosses your sound system off the balcony, makes a grotesque pass at your wife, and then blames you when the cops get called and show up. Then you hear about him doing something on the same scale in two other cities. Years later you hear through the grapevine that he’s living somewhere else, holds down a solid job, and hasn’t given anyone the slightest trouble in a long while. Somehow you end up meeting the guy and having a cup of coffee with him and he seems all right to you on the surface.
Do you still let him anywhere near your house and your wife?
I don’t care if TO has become a great guy – I’d rather have him contribute to the relief effort in Haiti than take a chance on him playing in Philadelphia again.
