Lito Sheppard Released
So looks like even the Jets dont want him. Its amazing how far he fell from being the Eagles #1 corner. The move was a bit expected though since Lito was going to receive a $10 million roster bonus. A disappointing season with the Eagles coupled with one with the Jets leaving Lito in between a rock and a hard place in finding a team.

Someone will sign him.
Might take a while though… The realization that he’s not worth a lot a money will begin to sink in over the next 2-3 months.

i loved this article on lito's release:
“Sheppard was acquired last offseason in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles to play opposite Darrelle Revis in the secondary but started just nine games because of injuries and inconsistent play.
The clearest sign that Sheppard’s time with the Jets was done was when he was benched in favor of second-year cornerback Dwight Lowery in the AFC championship game against Indianapolis."

that’s why we wouldn’t give you a big contract, lito. at least we got something for you, though!
He’ll get a decent pay day, though. He’s one of the better corners out there. He actually had a pretty damned good season.
I am the people's troll :3™
