Eagles interested in Kyle Vanden Bosch?
The Tennessean is reporting that the Eagles are among a few teams interested in Titans' free agent DE Kyle Vanden Bosch
At the NFL Combine, I heard plenty of buzz about teams interested in Vanden Bosch. Behind Carolina’s Julius Peppers, Vanden Bosch and Green Bay’s Aaron Kampman are mentioned most as the top defensive ends headed to free agency. The teams I heard mentioned the most for Vanden Bosch were the Eagles, Bears and Lions, but I've also heard of other teams who have interest and could step up when free agency starts. The Saints, for instance, would seem like a good fit.
Vanden Bosch did actually make the pro bowl last season, despite the fact that he registered just 3 sacks. He's a solid player, but I don't think anyone could sell this as an "impact" move.
He's big, holds up against the run well, and has shown an ability to get to the QB at times in his career but not consistently. He's not the missing piece by any means, but he gives you more than the Jason Babins & Chris Clemons of the world...

Ugh
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that his production dropped off the table after Haynesworth left. 3 sacks? I’d stick with Juqua.

We need to stay away from former Tennessee DEs
They always turn out bad for us. Javon Kearse, Juqua Parker. I would prefer not to add Kyle Vanden Bosch to that list….or even take a chance on it.
How has Parkeer been bad?
Eagles picked him up for relative peanuts and he has given them more than solid production over the past 3 years.
Yeah I'm pretty happy with him as well

NO!!!!!!!!
If Peppers, Kampman, and Edwards all go elsewhere, then we should draft a defensive end. No Vandenbosch pplease
GO CUSE, BLUE, AND EAGLES!
He flat out sucks without Haynesworth on line...
No thanks.
Bye 36, you will be missed...

i'm alright with it...
as long as they draft a DE in the first like griffen or graham….of course, id rather have peppers…
"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."
Garrard is a much better QB...
than Vandenbosch is a DE. Garrard has been playing with one of the worst receiving core in the league.

I sincerely hope this is just a bad rumor. I don’t want that overrated bum in green. You could generate more QB pressure with a scarecrow…

The dude has 7.5 sacks in the last TWO years. He only has 7+ sacks TWICE in his nine year career.
Dude is so overrated. I have no idea how he got into the Pro Bowl as a starter…
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
McNabb's Chamionship game and Super Bowl career: 129/225, 57.3 completion percentage, 1426 yards, 6.3 YPA, 9 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 72.9 QB rating, 1-5
He played opposite of Kearse. Who is not exactly Kearse anymore.
Opposite of Cole might get you more from Vandenbosch. Plus, let one of the linebackers step up and create chaos. We just need better than Parker and the platoon at the other DE.
Not a Fan but...
If we can’t get Peppers or Kampman, I wouldn’t be opposed to trying him out for a cheap 1 year deal and drafting a DE in the 1st or 2nd. But all the same, I’d rather take the first two.
