Charles barkley said it best
i remember hearing Charles say McNabb should have left years ago because philadelphia will ruin your career . The way things are looking he was right, he said he wished he would have left way before he did and he would have had a chance to win a tittle . McNabb has wasted plenty of years playing with sub par players and now to be traded to a team like the raiders or the rams is pretty messed up. now looking back at what Charles said, who is one of the best players to every play a sport in that city the face of the 76ers for years . D-mac should have left philly hanging along time ago.

Wah wah wah
Sub par players?? Count the number of pro bowl players the eagles have had in McNabbs tenure. I bet it is in the top 4 of all the teams in the NFL. If Charles believed that a title would make his career he should of played for a league minimum so the Suns could of bought a championship. See the Celtics. PManning restructured his deal to keep Marvin and Wayne long enough to win his title. The fact that you think organizations owe players for there service is retarded. They get paid to play. The Eagles FO did the best they could with out jeopardizing their future product. As a team and organization they came up short. No ones fault. It just is! If it best fits the guys who pay him, to trade him, thats business.

Not to sound like a jerk, but who? I mean on defense yes possibly, but offense?
The defense had Samuel, Cole, Dawkins, Sheppard, Vincent, Taylor, Simon, Douglas, Lewis, and Trotter. If you include McNabb, the offense had 9. The defense had 10. Obviously, not a big difference.
do you know what year durring his tenure we had the most pro bowlers
for some reason I think its last year

Oops, forgot Weaver and Peters...
The offense has actually had more. My bad.
To answer your question… They had 6 this year. They had 10 the year they went to the Super Bowl.

I guess I came off
like a jerk. So I am sorry for that. But It frustrates me when people act like a player is the most important thing to a team. McNabb is the face of our franchise and he made our offense go. By himself for his first couple years. We added Westy(pro bowl) and Chad Lewis(not PB) was a very solid go to guy. Runyan(PB), Tra Thomas(PB), ShAndrews(PB) were all put in place to help our offense succeed. The “we don’t need a #1 wr” mantra died when we brought in TO(PB). And since then we have been adding offensive talent.
And yes Defense is where the most of our PB players played in his time here. There has been QB’s who won w/o talent on offense and good/great defenses.
Teams win/lose/tie the bengals. QB’s or any other position are just a part of the team.

Charles Barkley said it best
when he said “This is why I hate white people.” I know he didn’t “mean it that way” but Charles is interested in only one thing: Charles. If you look at him, recognize that everything he says is to promote himself, and basically for no other reason. Everything he says makes sense if you keep that in mind.

I bet he did mean it that way. He was interviewed in GOLF Magazine once (or maybe GolfDigest? I had both for a while) and he made an off-handed comment about how you never see black people getting in car and driving in circles at 200 miles per hour. I’m not saying he doesn’t have a point, but he didn’t need to include race. I’m not a big fan of the guy; I really wish he would shut up and go back to being the dude with the funny golf swing who used to be a good basketball player.

McNabb couldn't really have left ...
… since he signed a 12-year, $115 million deal and all.
Hey, all Philadelphia’s ever done for that guy is made him an icon in one of the five biggest media markets in the U.S. in the most popular sport in the U.S. and set up his twin babies for life with millions. It’s not like we’ve destroyed his psyche and left him destittute.
What’s Philly ever done for me, now there’s a question worth asking! Despite my undying loyalty to two of its sports teams and my frequent spending within city boundaries, they continue to harass me about a parking ticket I paid six years ago. Screw Philly!

Barkley says a lot of things
Most of which I can’t understand.
It's really too bad McNabb hasn't won a "tittle" yet.

it prob sounded more like this
“donovan mcnabb should have left philadelphia years ago he made a TURible decison by stayin TURible TURible TURible ….. that guy donovans a Knucklehead.” lolll fuck charles barkley man hes a retard who should even be in comentary …. just because u excel in a sport doesnt mean that u make sense enough to give your horrible opinions and insight on the game…..
Why not?
It’s comedy.
If Frank Caliendo can impress a person very well, it is that person’s duty to provide more, erm, ‘material’ for humor.

i love the mound...
so what if his conversational skills are as weak as his golf swing. he’ll be my all time favorite 76er.
Charles Barkley?
Really? Is he relevant to football? No. We competed basically every year Donovan was here. No sappy BS. The majority of the players in the league will not win a SB, some of them are pretty damn good, or even hall worthy, but do I pity them? No. It’s the nature of the business. McNAbb’s has a great career which has been pretty damn succesful and he’s made millions in the process. That’s by no means a ruined career.
And if we’re going to quote Charles Barley, how about when they brought him into the booth on MNF on ESPN (God those days were awful) and they asked him about a situation in the game. He responded, “Well I don’t know much about football guys, I was a basketball player”. The smartest thing he’s ever said.

Sorry
Barkley , Never went all the way in there careers because of the" all me, all the time" attitude he still continues to have. He was like that when he was here and with the suns.
McNabb has had a Great career. Way better then Most. Im sure McNabb is crying all the way to the bank.
wasnt Barkley gambling half the time he was in the NBA?
i thnk that might have ruined his career. maybe

Is Charles Barkley the guy that did the Taco Bell rap???
because I wont eat there anymore for the mortal fear of ending up looking like him…
thats Cobb on Kolb crime if you ask me... as said by yophillybro
"I'm trading Kolb to Buffalo for Cribbs"- the brilliant Trade Kolb
? are you seriously asking who Charles Barkley is?
Or are you clarifying that it is him in that commercial?
just decided they should add something to the health care bill. Everyone should be made to get a membership to a gym and must use it. If not then they should be penalized for not taking care of themselves. All in favor? Oh wait...it doesn't matter what we think.
Barkley
Was a Philadelphia sports ICON…much like Mcnabb is today so he is qualified to comment.
Theres two differences though…The sixer teams before Barkley left SUCKED. The Eagles have been very competitive for years, Mcnabb has always had a sluggers chance.
Barkley has often said he wished he would have left when he was in his prime, as it stood though he got traded to the Phoenix suns in 93 who then went to the finals. He had his chance to win a title…he just got beat by Jordan and the bulls. And Barkley in his prime wasn’t ever going to beat Jordan. So the bottom line is these are two very different situations and Barkley I think is just speaking to hear himself talk.
