Update: Eagles QB Trade Talks Heating Up | CSNPhilly

Paul Domowitch: Eagles' DeSean Jackson deserves extension that he probably won't receive | Philadelphia Daily News | 03/23/2010
Really good article that explains why it's probably impossible to get an extension done with DeSean Jackson before the labor situation is resolved.

NFL personnel men concerned by marijuana 'epidemic' in draft - Don Banks - SI.com
There's a widespread belief within the NFL that the 2010 draft represents one of the deepest and most promising pools of collegiate talent in years. But in addition to the vast potential of this year's draft class, numerous NFL personnel evaluators told SI.com they are concerned about the increased number of prospects who have a history of marijuana use in their background, with players often acknowledging a failed drug test for pot in college in interviews with team executives.
Cleveland Browns were right not to wait at the QB altar for Philadelphia Eagles: Bud Shaw's Sports Spin | cleveland.com
Browns fans are wondering whether the team should have waited to try and get a deal done with the Eagles for a QB instead of jumping the gun for Jake Delhomme. This writer disagrees.

Tapp seems classy.

I want that job
To do a horrible job and get paid lots of money. No wonder the papers are having problems keeping solvent.
Reid- Best Coach in Eagles History
McNabb- Best QB in Eagles History
This is the year
Hey Stephen A...
No mention that the Eagles have made D-Mac a multi-millionaire? No mention of D-Mac disappearing in big games? No mention of the thousands of dead worm carcasses littering the turf at the Linc?
I’m sick of this “respect” drivel. I get respect and pay for doing a good job. when I screw up, I get fired. That’s called life Stephen A, get used to it.
It's "Kolb"ering time!

OMG NOOOOOOOOOO
Honestly wouldn’t make much difference to me, I live in Toronto. Now if the Eagles want to move up north, then I’m interested. Big upgrade over the Bills…

Somehow that doesn't do it as much as this would:
BREAKING: Eagles part of a three team trade that sends Mcnabb to Oakland, and Sheldon Brown and Michael Vick to the Rams, while the Eagles receive Atogwe, Asomugha (with restructed contract), Oaklands 2nd round pick, and Rams 2nd round pick.

If it was July
It would make sense for the Browns to take Delhomme. As it is March, how do they benefit by signing a demonstrably bad QB for $7 million? Sure, McNabb (or Kolb) would have cost more in terms of picks and cash, but they’re also better players. And with Delhomme, they MUST draft a QB this year. Kolb, in theory, holds the job for a decade and McNabb at least buys them two seasons.
kolb is the only one who would make sense
and he’s untouchable, so they moved on.

No joke….
you have a feeling we know something in the next week? I wouldnt be completely surprised if the Eagles and Rams have reached a deal, and the next couple of days is just Don’s new contract being worked out.

That crossed my mind as well. Somebody also fanshotted that perhaps the over exaggerated denial by the Rams was posturing for the purpose of trying to dissuade other teams from stepping in with a better offer, which is another interesting thought..

Is it just me...
or does anyone else think we’re gonna suck next year if we trade mcnabb? Believe me, im not against trading him, and i’m a fan of Kolb, but for some reason i have a feeling next season we’re just gonna suck next year if kolb takes over.
Instead, they are considering throwing McNabb and his 32,873 career passing yards out like trash.
They’re also considering to throwing out his 59 completion percentage, especially when the west coast offense needs an accurate quarterback.
God. The love McNabb gets from media is insane. People in media treats him like he’s Tom Brady when McNabb not even close to being a Hall of Famer.
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
McNabb's Chamionship game and Super Bowl career: 129/225, 57.3 completion percentage, 1426 yards, 6.3 YPA, 9 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 72.9 QB rating, 1-5
The benchmark is 60%
Considering that he’s got the best TD-to-INT ratio in league history and the difference between 59% and 60% is about two passes per game over the course of the season, I’m willing to to call it a wash.

Y/A is a million times more important. Comp % is about as useful as Batting average(hint: not at all).

Naw its not the same
Comp % obviously matters. Wheres a reason the top tier QB’s are all practically 65%+, while the 2nd and 3rd tier hover around 60%.
