Eagles rep for the Mile High Report's 2.0 live draft here, reporting to you from the Jeff Lurie War Room (tm). After the jump I'll post updates on each pick and will give you reasonings behind my drafting. No picks were traded by the Eagles (gasp!) but a last second try for a move high into the 2nd round was rebuffed. if we're going DE, one like Derrick Morgan who's a much better player with more potential
Earl Thomas is still a possibility, Giants needed 2 safeties this offseason.
Brian Price is still a good possibility, and if the team thinks Sean Weatherspoon is a MLB, he’s possible.
But Kindle makes no sense. He’s basically Clint Sintim, and they have Clint Sintim.

I think Sean Weatherspoon is gunna be a star, I heard a lot about him, im kinda hoping he falls to the eagles, but I dont even know if they would pick him since they dont value LB’s that much

Yeah, but I still can’t see it happening on draft day. The Eagles don’t value LBs to give them a first round contract. That’s why it almost has to be a DE, an OL, or a CB.

Many mock drafts had him going between 20 and 35, so picking him at 24 isn’t a stretch at all and is actually almost perfect. An OLB who can fulfill the SAM role for the Eagles is exactly what is needed to prevent TEs to continually destroy the Eagles pass defense and also will enable more blitzing from the LB corps.

I’d rather take Rolle over Allen.

Allen’s physical attributes just don’t match Rolle’s physical attributes, plus Rolle is possibly the smartest player in the draft (maybe ever in the NFL) and passing up brawn plus brains would just be foolish. And let’s not forget that Rolle hit very hard at FSU.

But he haven’t played football in two years, I read he trained with a rugby squad in Oxford even though Oxford has a football team
He has the physical and mental gifts to overcome the layoff time. He’d be up there with Eric Berry if he had played the past year or so, can’t pass on him.

I love that guy, he played HS football for us locally. Great zone coverage guy and a big hitter, greta return man too. Plays the ball really well too, good character. Atlanta is considering taking him in the first round.
