Corey Redding

i understand the youth movement with this team.  however i believe we still need to have veteran presence in all positions on offense and defense.  since we have gotten rid of 3 defensive linemen, i think bringing in a versatile vet would do us some good.  Corey Redding would not cost much to sign and could fill in nicely in a rotation and on 3rd down packages.  he may not be the best option but we cannot be convinced that every rookie we draft will contribute the way we expect (see Trevor Laws).

what do you think?

Mike Patterson-6th season in the NFL

Brodrick Bunkley-5th season season in the NFL

Trent Cole-5th season in the NFL

Darryl Tapp-5th season in the NFL

Juqua Parker-10th season in the NFL

Victor Abiamiri-4th season in the NFL

Antonio Dixon-2nd season in the NFL

I didn’t realize that most of those guys weren’t vets. 5 years in the NFL doesn’t make you a vet apparently.

Heh.

If he didn’t even bother to spell the player’s name correctly, I doubt he took the time to realize/look up any of that.

You make a good point, btw.

5 years?

most players are just starting to hit their prime around 5 years…i don’t think would consider anybody in the league for 5 years a seasoned vet….

Veteran
a person who has had long service or experience in an occupation, office, or the like

5 years is along time. In five years you may have not reached your prime, but you should know what you’re doing by then or else your unemployed. They have a name for players who are like that in the NFL…..they’re called Free Agents (most of them at least).

I consider a 3 year player a vet, but as the league defines it, a 4 year player is a vet.

I am the people's troll :3™
