Amazing how many people don't get Shawn Andrews
I guess the Shawn Andrews saga hasn't really been a national story, because I'm amazed at how many fans around the NFL actually think he could help their team or that he'll even play again.

Product of only seeing game film and stats.
Everyone remembers Pro Bowl Shawn Andrews. Unless they have a lot of time on their hands, the don’t even know about the drama that followed those Pro Bowl years.

he should come back to the eagles
and mix the intro music for before games
Shawn Andrews is worthless. I think everyone gets it.
...But if he pulls the rug on his quarterback, Reid must do it knowing that he let McNabb down more than McNabb ever let him down.

The Eagles WILL redeem themselves in the '10-'11 season, with a win at SuperBowl 45 in Dallas!
Kind of a weak episode, actually. The “They took our jerbs” was really the only good part.
The latest wrestling episode where they bring back they whole “They took our jerbs” is much better.
it wasn't the best,
but it had a few good jokes. my favorite has to be woodland critter christmas.. odd to ask on an eagles board, but if you got a chance to see the new episode, how was it?

New one on Wednesday? No. South Park has all their episodes (new and old) on their website…
southparkstudios.com (I think)
yep, southparkstudios.com is the link.
i was just wondering if it was worth watching. it was about tiger woods i believe.

Stunning really. I would be really surprised to ever see Andrews put on an NFL uniform again let alone play another actual regular season down.
yeah.
though I do think over the next year or so that some team or teams with a desperate situation at G could bring him in and work him out, but even so I can’t see him signing anywhere else, or even being appealing enough to a team for them to sign him.

Just see it more as Andrews never wanting to play football again for a couple of reasons. He made some dough that if invested conservatively/correctly could set him up for quite a while. My bet is that he has blown a bunch of it though on dumb crap and likely isn’t going to end up in a great place financially down the road.
Not gonna happen. I mean, the Eagles had a lot invested in Shawn, and even they decided it was time to cut it off.

Its off season
Every team (even the eagles fans here) start speculating that every player and their mother could help their team
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
I wouldn't
be surprised if a team took a flier on him. So long as he can pass the physical…..
Let's get it Birds.
good stuff!
rec’d for JasonB regular post amazingness
"Why do you step onto the field...? I don't believe in pressure. I don't believe in what may be said on the outside. Why do I step out onto the field? To Prove That I Am The Best!"

Basically everyone replying to the Giants one
knows Andrews is shit and shot.
Master of the squeegee
Yeah
I would expect NFC East fans to understand Andrews is done.
As far as the other teams go… I’m not all that surprised. He was an All-Pro at one time. If a former all-pro was dropped, I’m sure we here at BGN would speculate about him too.
some teams wanted Antonio Pierce when he was cut.
…so its not unheard of for people to be out of the loop.

Yup
Exactly my point. Every time a (former) good player is dropped, a lot of fans are going to speculate.
Look at Derrick Brooks last year. I’m sure almost every LB-needy team was speculating on whether their team would add him or not. But look what happened… he was never even given a chance to make a roster.
If somehow, someway
Shawn gets signed and somehow returns to his Pro Bowl form… I… will…. be…. pissed!
i, two, will be pissed.

Yeah, I kinda have disregarded Shawn for the last two years because of the injuries and depression and what not. But when you sit back and think about it, you can’t help but think about how much he screwed this team.
With Shawn, we were set at RG for the next half decade or so. But now because of his injuries and “antics,” we’re still scrambling to replace him.
F#ck him
Even if he goes somewhere else and saves the world from Satan, it was worth it to dump that trash.
agree
technically, he hasn’t been a part of the team for 2 years now. so it’s like he was gone the whole time.
That’s a lot of vitriol for a guy whose biggest crime was being interested in music and most minor offenses include getting injured and having depression.
I am the people's troll :3™
