Darryl Tapp 2009 Highlights

I made a video of Darryl Tapp's 2009 highlights.  It's not too long (he's no Jared Allen or Julius Peppers....) but it either shows his play-making ability or it shows him putting pressure on the QB.  Remember that 2009 wasn't even his most productive year, but I wanted to see him in recent film.  There wasn't much available to view, but I made do.  Enjoy.

Thanks for the vid.

Not bad. He is definitely a smaller guy but he seems to have a motor like Trent Cole. We’ll see what happens if he ends up playing on the other end of Cole.

He's not really a smaller guy

he’s the exact same size as Dwight Freeney, weighs the same as Cole and Jared Allen (even though he might be a couple inches shorter)

I’m psyched about getting him

Love that play against GB

Didn’t quit on the play. Just kept going and going and going.

"That's what I love so much about this team. We have some warriors here. We have some guys who go out there and fight. That's the best thing about this team. No matter what happens, we just keep fighting. You have to love that."

haha

If you log into the re-cutter and go to the archived cuts from 2008 there are a lot of good clips. He had sacks in week 9, 11, 12, 16, and 17. He had a great game against the jets and abused D’brickashaw twice.

nice i checked it out… he beasted D’Brick.

by JCC on Mar 17, 2010 11:12 PM EDT up reply actions

he definitely did

I think he could really help the line, whether he’s the new starter or sean continues a rotation. He said he really prides himself on stopping the run and he diagnoses play really well from what I saw on his 2008 highlights.

not the first time he abused D’Brickashaw either

Question???

How were you able to view this past seasons NFL games? Just wondering. Btw, great job on the video.

When you open up the RedZone Re-Cutter, you select “Archive Cuts” on the right-hand side. Let me know if you have trouble finding it.

I like what Tommie Lawlor had to say about Tapp. One of the most important things Tommie said that I wholly agree with is this fact.. He will be much more effective for us at LEFT DE. He may not be quite fast enough to beat the best left tackles, but he should be pretty good taking on the left side or right tackles. He plays with a high motor and never quits on plays. If I have to watch Parker standing there holding hands with an offensive tackle one more time…chit I hope he comes in and takes that postion away from Parker. I would be in heaven.

Heres the link to Tommies blog

I’m really excited about this guy. I know he’s not all that great, but he will be much better when across from Cole.
