Wow SEA gave up alot for a guy who never attempted a regular season pass(CW)
Sehawks swapped second round picks with SD dropping 20 spots and also traded a 3rd rounder in 2011 for Charlie Whitehurst then gave Whitehurst a contract of 5 mill per season. Now we no why the Eagles were demanding so much for there Qbs at least theres have played regular season games. 75 word 75 word 75 word 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words 75 words

"I'm trading Kolb to Buffalo for Cribbs"- the brilliant Trade Kolb
Time will tell
but it does look bad now.
I don’t mind this fanpost. It at least says something and opens up a somewhat interesting line of thought and discussion. Some of the recent posts have given me more appreciation for posts like this one.
Over/under of Seahawks fans committing suicide over at Field Gulls starting at 10 people.
I’ll take over.
RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
McNabb's Chamionship game and Super Bowl career: 129/225, 57.3 completion percentage, 1426 yards, 6.3 YPA, 9 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 72.9 QB rating, 1-5
I'll take the under...
But if we were talking about homicides directed at the FO big men, that might be a different story…

Who’s left in the McNabb sweepstakes? My first guess was Buffalo and St. Louis. Buffalo is privately working out Colt McCoy, though. If they draft McCoy, they will just start Edwards in the interim, since they’re not very competitive at the moment. Neither is St. Louis, who might draft Bradford and would be under immense pressure to start him immediately. So that could rule them out as well.
Only one team is left then, as far as I can tell.. Oakland. But Al Davis is still under the delusion that JaMarcus Russell is a starting QB. The team’s had opportunities to upgrade the last 2 years and Al ignored them. He’ll fire coaches just because they don’t like Russell. Meh.
I honestly think he’s staying now, barring any type of freak injury to a QB on another team. The Eagles will have trouble even finding a suitor for Vick, but at least with Vick there are teams who could use a Wildcat option.
I still say Vick moves by draft day at the latest. If he’s not gone by draft day, the third or fourth round will come around and some GM is going to say “Trading for this pick for Mike Vick will likely have more net positive impact than any player I could draft. Screw it.” and it will be so.

You’re joking right?? The guy has been in the league 3 years and you are trying to talk about how theyve had 2 years to upgrade from him?? According to your logic the Raiders should have thrown away the #1 pick and 32M guaranteed after 4 games his rookie year???
… yeah but Al Davis is the stupid one.
VOID!!!
I guess I forgot the time that JaMarcus Russell showed flash and promise… oh wait that time never happened.
The Raiders made the mistake of drafting him and giving him that money in the first place, it’s their bed to lie in. Look at what Carolina had to do with Delhomme, cutting him right after giving him an extension.
Gradkowski's not bad
I’m not saying he’s the answer for them, but he’s like Jeff Garcia Jr. He’s small, not much of an arm, but accurate and gritty. He’ll be serviceable until they get someone who can be the franchise QB. And Heyward-Bey was a bust, but their other rookie WR, the guy from Florida, is very talented. I think Maclin, Crabtree, Nicks, and Murphy? (I think that’s the Raiders’ WR’s name) will be the best WRs to have come out of last year’s draft.

Oops, forgot him.
yeah, he’s definitely there too. My bad.
I Am Better Than Jack Who Some Fool Thinks Is Better Than Asante (IABTJWSFTIBTA)
1) I never said drafting/signing him was a good idea
2) Once they did sign him they were stuck with him and needed to give him more than 4 games to show the flash and promise.
comparing what the panthers did with jake delhomme is pointless (again) for two reasons
1) in the good ol salary cap days a move like that would be impossible for either team
2) jake delhomme is an old man and is what he is… as little as jamarcus has shown the team is pot committed at this point and has to keep their fingers crossed that he finds a way to turn use some of that potential (for one more year at least)
VOID!!!
Charlie Whitehurst
has been in the league, what, 4 years? They’ve at least had the chance to scout him and see what kind of pro he is … which is more than we can say for the hotshots in the draft.
Potentially got a starting QB and they didn’t even give up a second-round pick, they just swapped it.
That has the potential to be a brilliant trade … if Whitehurst doesn’t suck.
Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome
Yeah, I actually agree there
Not much different than if they had done that trade with Kolb, in which case we’d be pissed as hell here on BGN. Granted Kolb actually has game experience, but its the same idea.
I Am Better Than Jack Who Some Fool Thinks Is Better Than Asante (IABTJWSFTIBTA)
Exactly
Judging only on past success will get you beat in the NFL. These dudes’ careers are so fleeting … You gotta trust your scouts on whether a not a guy can play, even if he hasn’t done so very much. Certainly there are intangibles that can’t be predicted, but with him having been in the league, they’ve got a lot more to go on than any rookie.
And yeah, we want a lot more for Kolb. :)
Still waiting for the Eagles to Bring It Home For Jerome
and the third in '11
or you just not counting that? they dropped 20 spots in the second round and gave up a 3rd in ‘11…he hasn’t thrown a pass yet. i don’t think it’s that bad, but def. leans toward the chargers. the Tapp trade was more of a fleecing.
"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."
