Good trade.

Hes young and we got rid of Clemons big contract.

I don't know what it is about your face,

but I just wanna deliver one of these right in your suck hole.

Not a bad deal. We can get that 2010 4th back without a sweat anyway (and I expect us to).

A 4?!?

Where’d you see that? If it’s a 4, that’s a horrible deal.

We’ve at least addressed the depth on the line and gotten younger. It’s not a large gamble. Considering Clemons was more of a project player that didn’t pan out, at least Tapp is a pure DE with starting experience (27 starts from 07-08 in John Marshall’s defense).

I’m okay with getting people into the depth chart who are young and have some talent, when you consider that Jaqua Parker is 31 and Darren Howard is 33.

I haven't seen enough of Tapp to make any kind of informed opinion...

The Seahawk fans are very pissed, though, which makes me feel a lot better about it.

Basically it’s exchanging one rotational player for another, but Clemons ultimately has not really lived up to the 6 year deal the Eagles gave him, and Tapp is only 25. Tapp, like a lot of Seahawks, did not really adjust to changes brought by the new DC Gus Bradley, but the previous 2 seasons, he did have 12.5 sacks, 104 tackles, and 7 forced fumbles.

I’m not concerned about giving up a 4th. It’s not like when they used a 4th to get Lorenzo Booker, who hadn’t done anything in the NFL to that point. The Eagles will get more 2nd/3rd day picks anyway, they always do. If there’s someone they want in the 4th, they’ll give up a late 2011 pick. Standard protocol.

The Seahawk fans are furious that they made this trade

Wow. Seahawks fans are suicidal. I mean, I know it was bad before, but I think this pushed them over the edge.

The Seahawks fans seem to be in consensus that this was one guy they didn’t want to trade at all.

I am the people's troll :3™

Gotta admit, I’m hitting reload over and over because their wailing is so amusing.
