bye bye YOU BUM

Ok so today is a great day .. we added an upgrade at running back .. P1_bell_mike_medium

via i.a.cnn.net

now mccoy can be the third down back which is what he is untill he develops and can hit a hole .. mike bell is a huge upgrade for one season .. hes not a star .. but hes a servicable running back .. which is better than what we have .. buckley sucks btw .. but the best news of the day .. BYE BYE chris clemmons .. Eagles traded him to seatle for Daryll Tapp ..

Darryltapp_medium

via www.eteamz.com

and i dont care what TAPP does he cant be worse than chris clemmons .. i hated this guy! .. he got a decent sized deal .. and was suposed to be a good pashrusher .. but he was a bum! good ridence .. now the only thing that will make me happier is to see gocong gone

I agree on Clemons

He was a bum who showed up for maybe 1-2 games a year and was a no-show on special teams coverage just about every week.

by MG77 on Mar 16, 2010 7:02 PM EDT reply actions

agreed

He was pretty much a waste of money. His best play came last PO against Vikings, when he blocked Tarvaris Jackson to the ground on pick six play from Asante and that actually says it all.

by Isi_eagle on Mar 16, 2010 7:04 PM EDT reply actions

He was in on one of the big plays

in the 44-6 game. Might’ve been a scoop & run though, I can’t remember off top

Oh, right ...

… Remember that play, forgot it was Clemons.

The follow-through there is brilliant.

A tap for a keg?

If that’s what we got in return for Clemons, we robbed Seattle blind.

...But if he pulls the rug on his quarterback, Reid must do it knowing that he let McNabb down more than McNabb ever let him down.

no

we also gave them a fourth rounder

A fourth rounder under Reid?

That’s a wasted pick anyway. We robbed them blind.

Probably, Reid usually gets like in the 5th round anyway where Brent Celek was drafted and Trent Cole

Seems like the Eagles like players from Cincinnati a lot

This will be a bad day for JasonB and Whodie.

They loved Chris Clemons.

I recommended this post.

It is well written and says everything about Chris Clemons that needs to be said.

I don’t love Clemons, I believe I said I didn’t want Ray Edwards because he was the next Clemons.

They call me The Professor.

Let's put it this way...

…he is better than Chris Clemons. Word is, before they got Tapp the Eagles were considering signing the Rocky statue as their opposite D-end because it has more upfield speed and quickness than Chris Clemons.

...But if he pulls the rug on his quarterback, Reid must do it knowing that he let McNabb down more than McNabb ever let him down.

Ouch.

I do think it’s an upgrade over Clemons.

Whether Tapp will completely push Smokey Parker off the field, we’ll have to see.

so, there’s the upside. i don’t think he’s a permanent answer to the lde position. hopefully, i’m wrong.

I might be the only one

But I still like Abiamiri.

He hasn’t shown much of anything yet, but he’s had some bad luck with injuries. I like the promise of a 24 year old Victor and a 25 year old Darryl. With those two and Juqua competing to start at LDE or even rotate at LDE… I think we’re okay there.

McCoys the starter period..

bells our new Buckhalter where as McCoy’s our westy..

Also I like Tapp, always have he’s a good player.

The way I see it

If we put this in terms of ‘08, McCoy is the new Westy, Bell’s the new Buckhalter, and Weaver is what we were all begging for but didn’t have. I love it.

Actually I'm more hoping McCoy's like the Westy of 2007 and Bell's the new Buckhalter..

and Weaver finally makes it happen w/ the new dynamic duo back there..

Fair enough

I wasn’t looking at stats, just roles. But I see what you mean, and this season we’re gonna beast on both sides of the ball, assuming we get a little more DE and OL depth.

yes. he is in no way better than asante.

via Wikipedia,

He was waived on September 5, 2009. He was re-signed to the team’s practice squad on September 7, 2009. After cornerback Joselio Hanson was suspended for four games for failing a drug test before the start of the 2008 NFC Championship game, Ikegwuonu was promoted to the active roster.1 He played in his first regular season game in the NFL on November 22, 2009 against the Chicago Bears. He was waived on November 24 after the team signed Geoffrey Pope off the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad.

SHIT!!!!!!!!

GREAT MOVE, Man we get Tapps for a 4th rounder. What a steal. Then they take Clemons off our hands for nothing. I swear andy must be related to someone over there in the hawks FO. First Weaver and now Tapps.

by greenage on Mar 16, 2010 11:12 PM EDT reply actions

Now

Let’s just hope they give us one of their 1st rounders for McNabb.

Or even their two first rounders for Kolb.

seattle fans

were upset about the tapp trade. and the weaver aquisition. i doubt they can handle giving up any firsts for our qb’s. if i was a seahawk, i’d hate philly lol

are you stupid?

mike bell IS a third down running back. he’s not going to be ahead of Shady on the depth chart.

by packimop on Mar 26, 2010 4:21 PM EDT reply actions

Yes, he is amazingly stupid. You must be new here. Welcome.

I like this comment ‘Buckley sucks’. How the fark would JIB-Douche know? The guy performed exactly as he was supposed in the few touches he got last year. I wouldn’t be at all uncomfortable with Buckley remaining #3 next year.

And JIBTURD can be #2. As in what my nephew calls his poopies.

nah

third down is a receiving back .. aka shady .. bell is a 1st down guy
