Alrighty, I feel this offseason is heading in a great direction..

As many of you know this offseason hasnt been as spectacular as expected. We didnt land Peppers, Kampman or any of the other big name UFA's. But this offseason has been one that could potentially keep us level with where we were at last year.

First off lets break down the Resignings:

Leonard Weaver... This was a must-get-done type of deal. Weaver was problably one of the better players last year, and is by far the best FB in the league. He helps us blocking, running and catching the football. He's definantly earned his keep here and will be a monster with us for the next 3(and hopefully more) years. 

Jason Avant... Jason is one of those guys you just love. He earns his keep being a touch nosed WR who can catch anything. By far not the most talented reciever, but he does get his job down with lunch box in hand and for that we all love the man. Locking him up for 5 years is a great thing.

I'd also count Stacy's restructuring as a plus for for other reasons.

Free Agents we have signed:

Marlin Jackson... He is a CB/FS who when healthy can be a very good player. I'd rate this move as a good one because at least were making a move to try and add secondary depth, hopefully this one works out.

Chad Hall.. He seems like an interesting prospect. He can play WR, RB and can return kicks, now I have seen highlights on this kid and he could be a player for us. If we can incorperate some packages like what the Vikings did with Harvin and he could be very effective. He actually looks like a younger Kevin Curtis(body style and speed)

The trade...

I have to say I am happy Reggie Brown is gone. (1) because I just got tired of JIBTA riding him like a bull and (2) I'd like to see him actually have some success.

Now to what I think we should do moving forward...

I think we end up moving McNabb or Kolb. If it's McNabb it'll most likely be on draft day and for a 2nd. If it's Kolb how about Kolb and a 3rd for Patrick Willis?

As far as the Draft goes here's how I'd like for it to play out:

Round 1: I would like to see us get Mays or Sean Witherspoon(macjack's pounded it into me over the past few months) or Kyle Wilson, all of which should be able to help immediately.

Round 2: Morgan Burnett, even if we get May's I'd like Burnett as the safety opposite of Mays, could be dangerous in 2-3 years w/ Asante, Kyle Wilson(if we get him if we dont get Mays) and these 2 guys.

Round 3: Dont know how many picks off the top of my head so Ill name 3 guys... Micah Johnson, he could be able to help out alot, everyone know's my input about him.. Toby Gerhart, he's a solid runner, good guy to spell McCoy.. and Trevard Lindley, he's a good Corner, battled through injuries but has alot of promise.
