Around SBN: Miikka Kiprusoff Wins 300th Game, Buffalo Crushes Boston

The Eagles have announced that they will bring Raiders halfback Justin Fargas and Colts wide receiver Hank Baskett in for workouts this Friday. Fargas is a solid backup who finished the 2009 season with 491 yards rushing, 113 yards receiving and 3 TDs. He should be a nice compliment to McCoy. Baskett is a familiar face to the Eagles who will be once again fighting for a roster spot as a fifth or sixth receiver if signed.

The Eagles WILL redeem themselves in the '10-'11 season, with a win at SuperBowl 45 in Dallas!

I know that not everyone will agree but I have some sort of eagles crush on Baskett. I know he’s not the best reciever and has bad hands but I like him on our ST and I’d love for him to come back. At least give him a chance to make the team.

I would wish that on no one

but the Chargers and Patriots

Our heads may be bloody, but they are unbowed. We will be back next year better than ever!

i say if we sign him, he gets no guaranteed money.

so if we make it to the superbowl we can cut him the day before.

With Reggie Brown gone, I wouldn’t mind seeing Baskett as depth. Especially if Kevin Curtis is eventually shown the door this offseason.

i actually used to think baskett wasn't all that bad..

keyword, used to.

Agreed

I’d welcome Baskett back. He’s not a bad role player and he was an above average Special Teamer…

before he did this of course.

its like i always said… baskett is a bad 2/3 rcvr but a GREAT 4/5 rcvr.

VOID!!!

Wow, released him and then traded a promising talent in Brandon Gibson for will witherspoon who they released all to being baskett back for a visit. My point is we can draft a guy on the 4th round or later to be the fifth receiver.

Hank would probably be a good signing

long as he’s fairly cheap. We have young starters that need reps. Hank knows the system and is a good special teams player

I guess it is just me

But, I don’t think Hank can play. He isn’t that huge and his certainly isn’t agile enough to be a NFL WR.

We really need to move on, first it was Hank Fraley, now Baskett. Who is next? Damon Moore?

Note to the front office, please move on. There are other big framed wideouts in the league, not named Baskett, that could play on our team.

you know what, we need draft picks for other positions besides wr. hank already knows the system and isn’t a terrible #4 wr. he’s good on special teams(i know…the onsides kick) and he’s ok for some big plays once in a while. baskett comes on the cheap and we can use those picks to draft in other positions of need

true!

I agree, and i guarantee hank if anything would try to redeem himself for his bill buckner moment.. We have priorities in the draft and a #4 wr isnt one of them.. Wouldnt mind fargas also but if our passing continues like it did and the D shows up! we could sign rickey watters out of retirement and it wouldnt matter… hahah

I’d rather fill a roster spot with Helen Keller than Hank Baskett.

They call me The Professor.

correction

Id rather have helen keller in the front office making decisions, hank just forgot who he was for a min. HA
