Another Westbrook Bomb.

"It wouldn't shock me at all if he got traded or released," Westbrook told The Waddle & Silvy Show on ESPN 1000 in Chicago. "I know that he is very unappreciated in Philadelphia. . . . He's definitely unappreciated for the things that he does and the things that he brings to Philadelphia."

yea hes just gonna lose respect from eagles fans the more he blabs…

he can talk all he wants

I still wouldn’t lose respect for him. The two things he’s said are true. Vick will be traded and it wouldn’t be a shocker to see McNabb be traded either. If other NFL GMs didn’t know this without westbrook saying it, they should not be NFL GMs.

Lol, its more his business then ours. I will always love Westy, came through whenever we needed him too, was a great leader, and just a great great guy. Westy will always bleed green.

True

It is true what he says. McNabb could be traded and he is unappreciated in Philly.

by dnabb10 on Feb 26, 2010 5:20 PM EST reply actions

Yeah, exactly

It’s not like he’s dissing anyone or saying bullshit. He’s being honest. But, I think Bye,Dawk’s right- he really didn’t like the way the FO handled his situation.

He’s not saying he’s unappreciated by the organization, in my opinion. I think he’s saying he’s unappreciated by the fans, and that’s not inaccurate. There’s a very vocal section of the fanbase that doesn’t appreciate what he’s done for us and how he’s kept us a respected franchise all these years.

I think McNabb is going to be around another year, at least.

I'm glad Westbrrok is finnally speaking his mind.

McNabb is indeed unappreciated by the idiotic Philly media and a minority of the fans (who in my mind make the most noise- empty baskets). Compare Mcnabb’s stats in 2010 to the stats of any team you deem is a contender in this league and you will find that there is virtually no different (having missed two games). Only Brees and Manning could boast a clear difference from McNabb. The fact is Mcnabb still has what it takes to win a championship in this league and to claim that he’s the reason we haven’t won or cannot win in the future is baloney. I have been reading all the post on this site lately especially JoeD’s comments (as always makes little sense) and the comments of the McNabb’s got to go team has been laughable. There is a reason Weaver made the comment he made about McNabb. Weaver certainly believes he has a better chance at winning with 5. Westy feels the same way. And now we’re gonna burn his jersey? simply because he has the audacity to speak his mind? This is the little tinge of racism that has always underlined many (not all) of the comments made by the McNabb haters. To go from Westbrook will be missed to burning is jersey is incomprehensible. Why just burn his jersey….go ahead lynch him while you’re at it.

okay, WOW...

Sayin to burn the man’s jersey is WAY ON THE OTHER SIDE of lynching the man….let’s not take it that far. We’re fans and everything is a knee jerk reaction, sometimes you gotta take a step back and look at rationally.
Also, i think the race card can’t be played in most cases for people that are ready for a change at qb. That’s a bit of a cop out to even say that. You can’t look at everyone as a whole that is for change, just like you can’t lump everyone together any where else. Of course there’s going to be p.o.s.‘s that only care about the race of the QB, but those are the poeples comments that should be looked past. If Mcnabb is gone, it’s not because of the color of his skin, it will be because it’s time for a change and Kolb is ready to take over.
I don’t truly lean one way or the other. I can say with the team that the Eagles have and the FA’s that id like them to pick up, Mcnabb will at the very least be getting one last crack at it.

"Eagles fans are a passionate group who love their team," said McNabb, "if not the actual players. It's not like winning a Super Bowl before the first month of the season is the hardest thing they've ever asked of me. That'd be all those times they asked me to go kill myself."

comments like these are ridiculous. if someone doesn’t want the man as QB after 11 years of not winning the big one, it’s not racist. It might not be smart (who knows, maybe it is), but it sure as hell isn’t racist.

I know that he is very unappreciated in Philadelphia

This is absolute bullshit. First off the fans don’t mean shit so if he think McNabb will get traded or released because the fans don’t appreciate him then he doesn’t understand the business as well as he claims to.

Second, I know he can’t possibly mean the Eagles FO doesn’t appreciate McNabb I mean all they have done is stand by him through what 4 season ending injuries? I’m sure they didn’t appreciate him when they gave him that 115 million dollar contract too.

Bitter people make stupid comments, I didn’t think Westbrook would be like that but I guess I was wrong.

I consider myself a pretty nice guy but I’d be a bitter asshole if I missed out on $7.25 million.
