Listen, I would loving more than hoisting the Lombardi trophy in Dallas this year but I can't get over how bad some parts of this team are. I wish I could call our line mediocre but I can't remember EVER seeing our O-line get manhandled week after week like that -- particularly that right side. Even in the dark years under Rich Kotite and Ray Rhodes I don't remember out O-line just that inept at picking up blitzes and stunts.

I'm usually a huge fan of the play calling because it works really well when executed well but don't we have something to counter these heavy blitzes? My Grandmother could see those blitzes coming (literally), isn't there a counter instead of letting Vick run around and see if he can make something happen? There has to be.

The sad thing is Vick is only 6', meaning those passing lanes are pretty important because it doesn't look like he likes to throws slants or hit the hot routes unless he has a nice clear path.

OK, even if we do win the SB (and I'm not holding my breath) Sean McDermott HAS to go. I gave him a pass last year because we lost Bradley and he was a rookie play caller... But this year there has been no improvement -- our defense is no better. The most hilarious play was in the 4th quarter when we were trying to come back and it was 3rd and long. We tried to run a delayed blitz which failed miserably which left JAMARY CHANEY trying to cover Percy Harvin -- easy first down. At this point, with our defense giving up so many points to just about every opponent in recent weeks it's pretty clear to me that McDermott is a part of the problem if not the biggest part.

It's never as good as it seems (blowout vs WSH) or as bad as it seems (last night) but these recent trends have me worried we might even be lucky to get outta the wild card round. We're going to have to play most likely GB who by all accounts is just going to be chomping at the bit with this secondary. I'm nervous.
