Before I'm accused of flying off the handle in the fallout of last night's game, let me say that I have considered this since the Colts game:
What if we go one-and-done in the playoffs? Vick is hobbled, contained, picked off, etc…
It’s draft day. Andrew Luck has declared. The Panthers give us a call. "Hey, we’ll give you #1 overall, a 3rd, and next year's 1 and 2 for Vick." The options are bountiful. Andrew Luck (and subsequently trading Kolb). Da'Quan Bowers. Patrick Peterson. Prince Amukamara. Trading down.
You, with your new 400 pound frame and sick ’stach, think about it. You consider, "Well uh...ehem...Mike is 30 years old. He got this team moving. But is his style of play viable in the long run?"
You think about the success of Sam Bradford. New start? Stock up on more skilled players? Trade Kolb?
Do you take the deal?
"That's a toughy."
