Jorrick Calvin Placed On IR With a Back Injury
The team has not announced a replacement yet, but speculation is that Chad Hall could see an increased number of returns. Eldra Buckley and Jerome Harrison are also possibilities.

Yeah I think Harrison needs some more touches in any way possible really, we have to
let him get in some open space…

dude bwest wtf!!!????
wat is with all the hate around here Jorrick??? Once we geta good share of Eldra and or hall u will be begging for him 2 be back. Also Jorrick Calvin is a dope ass name, always a key factor in determining wether or not a player is good, LOL. But serious if u thought Jorrick was bad then dont even watch Eldra, Chad Hall im willing 2 see wat hes got but really id rather have Harrison back there.

my hopes are
that management is smart enough to realise that they are upgrading by bringing in someone new, or giving Harrison a try.

Truth
At least Calvin had KR for a TD (on the opening kick-off!) this year, even if it was called back. I have no faith in Eldra Buckley or Chad Hall to get past the 25 yard-line (just like I know they won’t get more than 3 yards on a rush). I just hope they make it to the 20. Maybe Harrison can do some things for us, though.
I don't think Chad Hall can get more than 2 yards on a carry
I was rooting for the guy and liked his story, but I realize he’s not an NFL player. I’d rather see Hall playing for the Philadelphia Soul than the Philadelphia Eagles.

Maybe he took one for the team after meeting with the coaching staff.

Not sure when, but:
Adam Caplan said Calvin was noticeably limping at practice. It’s a legit injury.

It could be a roster stash move
If the staff thinks Calvin needs more time to develop as a special teams player, they could stash him on IR with a minor injury and keep him for the remainder of the year. Then they could sign a more capable kick returner like Smith or Miller.

My thought too. Reid said earlier this week Calvin was taking it easy because he had stiffness in his lower back. Now IR? I think some roster stashing is going on. But, I’ve also learned to stop questioning the FO. They most always seem to have their next move figured out beforehand.

I might be crazy but wasnt this guy a pretty good CB for Troy??
I mean if he develops with his speed and stuff he could be a solid 3rd or 4th CB and return man… I think alot of his issue is that he missed his senior year due to injury but I think the kids got some potential to be a minimum a role player in the future here.

I smell a fake injury.
A way of keeping Calvin on the team withou losin him.
I wouldn’t mind bringing in a returner.
I hope Harrison gets a shot though. I kinda wanna see what he can do.

Thats
what i was thinking. Harrison is a bruiser. Not the fastest guy but I’d like to see him run through a few people.

No...
Harrison is a quick guy who acts like a bruiser if he needs to, he’s more of a scat back IMO..
Buckley is a bruiser… I think we should just do 2 deep men, Harrison and Buckley and just watch shit happen.

Isn't every football player in some sort of pain...
Maybe he still could have played…but the Eagles didn’t want to take that risk… ; )
way to jinx him in ur last story Bob
Jorrick Calvin would do well to watch his back.

Let Herremans do it
We all saw that Pats guard return a kickoff for decent yards :P
I bet it is Justin Miller that they sign to replace him. If they decide to go with somebody in-house to return kicks this week it will probably be Hall or Harrison.
On a side note since we are talking about returning kicks, Booker is doing that for the Vikings he didn’t do that for us right? I believe it was Demps. Spuds said on Eagles Live that he thinks Booker is going to get hated on when he steps onto the field.
You have to be remembered to be hated
at least in Philly. Saying we’re going to hate on Booker is like saying we hate Ryan Moats for not panning out as a 3rd-round RB. (at least he showed flashes). Booker just never did anything here. No reason to hate the poor, not-that-talented guy.

Booker won’t be remembered enough to be that hated

For Spadaro to say the fans will hate on Booker again shows that he has no clue.

Honestly Calvin's best contribution so far ...
… has been taking a whole bunch of hits that Maclin, Jackson, Hobbs and whoever else would have started and returned kicks never had to take.

He got a shot during pre-season, and I think even a few at points in the regular season. Showed no return ability at all.

He’s actually had some good returns in Minny from when I’ve turned them on. Demps was a good returner for us though when he was here.
…wait, are you talking about Lorenzo Booker? Because I was talking about Chad Hall…
All the hate for hall,i think he might do a good job at KR……….
