So as of yesterday around 430 I wrote an article in regards to Andy Reid not throwing the challenge flag on the DeSean Jackson fumble (which by the way I still believe he should have thrown it because overall, he is the coach and he makes the final decisions not the people upstairs), and I quote myself, "A bad day to be an Eagles fan." Well at that moment I'm sure I was not the only person who was thinking that, at the time it was true, and then a miracle occurred.
The man who has been so quiet this year comes up with a huge TD Rec., my man Brent Celek, and then the Louisville Cardinal Product David Akers comes up huge with a "surprising" onside kick and recovery (still a glimmer of hope). Then the man who has said it from day one of his return that he can start in the NFL again, Michael Vick steps up with two huge runs that ends in a Vick rushing touchdown (O.K. this has become a lot more interesting). With the defense being picked apart during a career game for Eli, McDermott's defense steps it up and shows Eli's true colors with a huge stop with 3+ minutes to play.
Once again the Michael Vick show was about to happen, an 8 play 88 yard scoring drive with a Vick to Maclin ending put the game back at a tie (at this time a completely different outlook than i had just an hour before). Once this game was tied I thought that surely we would stop them and move on to overtime, but that all changed when the Eagles best friend Matt Dodge punted to the new, DeSean 'PRIME TIME' Jackson (Sorry Deion but Jackson just stole your name). A muff here, a juke there, and another juke here and here you have the making of "The Meadowlands Miracle." Maybe I jumped my guns a little to early with that post, and never again will I show defeat before a game is over, hats off to all you Eagles player, coaches, and fans, WHAT AN AMAZING DAY TO BE AND EAGLES FAN.
