David Akers had a nice month and the NFL has seen fit to recognize him for it. Akers has been named NFC special teams player of the month for the fourth time in his career, which ties him for the most in franchise history with Donovan McNabb and Randall Cunningham
- Akers led the NFL with 13 field goals and 52 kicking points during the month as the Eagles went 3-1. He converted 13 of his 14 field-goal attempts and all 13 PATs.
- He had three games with four field goals (Indianapolis, New York Giants and at Chicago) in November.
- He added seven touchbacks on kickoffs, the second-most in the NFC.
- Akers also tied the franchise mark for the most regular-season games played with 183
