Hey Everyone Doug_M here
You may remember me from such photoshops as this and... well thats about it.
I'm a long time lurker and have never really been the posting type aside from a few quips here and there but I'm going to break that today to ask you all to possibly help me out with a paper I have been writing for school.
The eagles are no strangers to controversy and that is why I think we have some of the best fans that could help me out with this. The paper I'm writing is on the ethics of off the field sports journalism with a primary focus on Football. I've been discussing topics such as the media and fan coverage of Vick, calling someone "the best" at their position even when the stats don't reflect it, how much off the media goes with personal bias instead of the numbers, etc.
Problem is, I'm starting to run dry on things to talk about. I'm sitting on 9 of 15 pages and with 3 other papers I've been working on I haven't been able to focus as much as I would like on this one. Any help with controversial stories in which sports journalists diverge from the truth or do something that you don't think is proper in the field of sports journalism would be fantastic. I'm also looking for a particular journalist to analyze and pick apart some of their stories so any suggestions would be fantastic.
I may just be riding the high from having DJax run all over our inbred NFC East brethren, but I thought at the very least I could ask and see what I could glean from you guys.
