Eagles Waive RB Joique Bell, DE Pannel Egboh

The Eagles waived two players today RB Joique Bell and DE Pannel Egboh. Egboh was a practice squad player, but Bell was on the 53 man roster. So that means the team will either promote someone from the practice squad or a free agent signing is imminent.
Adam Caplan reports that it will not be CB Al Harris.
The team did work out a DE named Nick Reed today and there's speculation that they could promote DB Jamar Wall off the practice squad since Nate Allen has been all but ruled out for Monday night. Currently, Quintin Mikell & Kurt Coleman are the only two healthy safeties on the roster.
UPDATE [Bob_Q]: Caplan is now reporting that the Eagles will sign safety Colt Anderson off of the Vikings practice squad. The move is expected to become official tomorrow.

Jamar Wall could get promoted
He is a CB, but with a healthy Hobbs, the Eagles could go back to their original plan of moving Dimitri Patterson to safety when needed. Keenan Clayton has demonstrated he can also be used as a safety on odd plays, so that should be enough to carry them until Nate Allen is ready to come back. Egboh’s release is a bit puzzling, though. If Wall were promoted, that would leave two empty slots on the PS.

Didn’t realize they had worked out Reed. Egboh already was cut from the team once, so it was just a matter of time before a better DE came along. Now, we’ll just have to find another DB to take Wall’s place should he get promoted.

They don’t update it until it’s been officially announced by the team. Check again tomorrow morning.

I REALLY WAS EXCITED WHEN WE GOT J BELL, I UNDERSTAND WITH HARRISON AND BUCK KINDA EXPENDIBLE, BUT HE HAS SO MUCH MORE PROMISE THAN BUCK IN MY EYES :(

Buckley’s been solid on special teams, so Bell was never really going to get a chance to see the field. He’ll catch on somewhere, I’m sure.

We pick up these big RBs and still manage to get excited.

And in many cases, it’s because they can’t play. Mike Bell sucked, Tony Hunt sucked, Charles Scott sucked, and given that he was a practice squad pickup, Joique Bell probably sucks too.
This is part of the reason Leonard Weaver was so good for the Eagles. Reid would actually use him sometimes because — guess what? — he didn’t suck.

Bradley needs to check himself before diving into piles like that, hurting himself and hurting his teammates.
