Today Ellis Hobbs admitted that he was suffering from a hip flexor injury. He was quoted by the Press of Atlantic City saying "it's been bothering me for a while, but it was one of those things where I thought I could play through it."
That quote just pisses me off. The fact that he finished the game makes me think this: he either truly believed he could play through it the entire game OR he really believed he was bad enough to allow an up and coming (but not yet there) superstar to receive 7 balls and 225 yards and 3 tds in less than 3 quarters of football. Either way this man is an absolute moron. Someone people will commend him for playing through his injury. The intelligent people will say, "what the hell man? Lindley and Patterson can play better than you with a bum hip flexor. Get off the field".
Good old Andy doesn't think that way. He said that he has tremendous respect for him, and the team does too. I think that's horsepoop. It would be awesome if he played well with it and he helped contribute to a "w". But all he did was absolutely positively contribute to us losing the game.
With all this said. I only place 50% of the blame on Hobbs. The other half I blame on Coach McDermott for being an idiot and keeping Hobbs the smaller and slower (for that game) corner on the overpowering and fast Kenny Britt. Good thinking moron. McDermott better step up his game versus the Colts, or I'm gonna lose it.
