I don't know what comes to the mind of everyone else when they read that, but when I read it, it sure sounds like a challenge issued to Jason Peters. And I surely hope that he is taking it that way. Look, Peppers is an absolute NIGHTMARE at defensive end. He is both athletic enough and versatile enough to play any position (except maybe MLB) in the front 7 if he was asked to.
More after the jump...
However, when you have a report that says specifically (paraphrasing) "we are going to take one man and consistently beat your one man enough that it changes your game plan" and that one man is a pro bowl player, it is nothing short of a challenge. Let's hope Peters is as up to it as he has been the last few games against the Colts, Redskins, and Giants. Against those teams and their "one player" he has played EXCELLENT football. What do you think will happen today?
