Eagles RB LeSean McCoy was held out practice today with a shoulder strain, but Andy Reid said he "should be okay in the next day or so here." In all likelihood Andy is just trying to get him an extra day with the short week.
"He's been doing a good job, so there's not a lot of preserving that goes on in the National Football League, especially at this time of the year. I do want to make sure that he gets back to where he feels comfortable. He's worked through some things this season. He's a tough kid. To answer your question, I'm going to keep a close eye on it and make sure that I'm comfortable with how he feels."
Generally it was good news with injuries today as both Nate Allen and Ellis Hobbs also returned. Both are expected to play this weekend. That said, even if Hobbs does play Dimitri Patterson will remain the starter.
"Dimitri is [the starter]. Ellis, we're going to ease him back in and he's going to be out there. You'll see him returning a little bit and we'll see how he does with that. We'll just see how he does this week. He's a little better this week than he was last week. He's feeling a little bit better than what he has. So we'll just ease him in and see how he does."
