Donovan McNabb appears to now have plenty of time to learn the Redskins offense... ESPN is reporting that the Redskins have signed him to a monster five year, $78 million contract which includes $40 million in guaranteed money. The deal comes just two weeks after Redskins coach Mike Shanahan benched the QB in the final two minutes of the teams' loss to Detroit.

The deal obviously ramps the pressure of tonight's Monday Night game in Washington to another level. For better or worse, many people will judge how smart or stupid this contract is by the way McNabb performs tonight.

So far this season McNabb has thrown for 7 TDs and 8 INTs with a QB rating of 76, the lowest since his rookie year. McNabb will turn 34 in 10 days.
