The Giants lost one of the sloppiest games in the NFL this season to the Cowboys 33-20 at the New Meadowlands in a game that has blown open the NFC East and in a lot of ways the entire NFC. Before this weekend, some pundits had the Giants as the best team in the NFL. Of course, some of us doubted that noting their often sloppy play and lack of quality wins... but either way no one will be calling them the league, or the NFC's best.
Eli Manning had 3 turnovers & the Giants were penalized 8 times for 69 yards. If you factored in all the yards that were negated due to those penalties... it could be 150. Their offensive line looked terrible, their secondary was roasted... Not a flattering game for the Giants whatsoever.
The Eagles and actually the Redskins as well have a real chance to stake a claim to the NFC East tomorrow night. The Giants fall to 6-3, which means the 5-3 Eagles could move into a tie and the 4-4 Redskins could get themselves to within a game of the NFC East lead.
The Eagles host the Giants next week.
