Although they have the better record (6-2) we have played better quality teams. Green Bay where it was a close game, Tennessee which we outplayed them for 3 quarters and Washington which we played real sloppy and still had a chance to win. We beat Atlanta who many considered to be the best team in the NFC at the time, Indi who many regard as the best team in the NFL with Peyton Manning at the helm.
I know I am. It seems that people tend to overlook the strength of the Giants schedule up to this point in the season. Because they finished 3rd last year they play a lot easier teams. The teams they beat are not good at all - Bears, Lions, Texans, Seahawks, Cowboys, and Carolina. The two losses were to the only two good teams they played Indi who blew them out and Tennessee who out played them.
Giants have played opponents with a combined record of 27-37. Eagles have faced opponents with a record of 34-31. Giants have faced 3 winning record teams all 5-3 records (don't know how the bears make that category) while the Eagles have faced 4 winning teams with records of 6-2, 6-3 and 5-3. I know the Giants don't make their own schedule but for NFL experts to be naming them best team in the NFL is a joke. Their offensive line is in shambles for god knows how long and will ruin their offensive flow of running and throwing the ball.
I don't want to jinkx myself but I see a late season collapse happening for the "already crowned" NFC Champ Giants. If you want to crown them then crown them, but they are who I think they are.
