So I finally found time to sit down and write a post.
I was in Philadephia and watched my first Eagles game live!
I came Friday night and spent whole Saturday on sightseeing in Philly. I loved the city and the cheesesteaks. I went out with my friend(a Philly native) and had a few drinks. It was fun, great music and hot girls :)! But I could feel that D-Day was around the corner.
Gameday was INCREDIBLE! The Linc:The size of stadium was impressive(we don't have stadiums that big in Denmark). Tailgating was AMAZING! I thought people would enjoy beer, some grill food and throw some ball. But it was CRAZY!!! People had buses painted green, there was live music, Eagles fans dancing, drinking and having lots of fun. I love American sports culture! I was walking around between different parking lots and talk to fellow Eagles fans. Great hospitality and people were really nice. As soon as I started a conversation with any random Eagles fan, he offered me beer and snacks. It was amazing to start an Eagles chant without people look at you and think that you are crazy. By the way I don't know where the whole hate towards Eagles fans comes from, but national media should check out the tailgating. I saw a lot of times Colts and Eagles fans tailgating and talking together.
But the best part about it was definetly the game in itself! And what a game it was to see live! From the moment when Shady broke 62 yards run and until Asante's 2nd INT I went crazy as did other 69000 fans. It was amazing to see so many people being passionate about the same "thing" as me. It was so awesome to high-five and hug people you don't know, every time Eagles scored a TD or made a big play. I think its amazing how a shared passion can gather people with different views, backgrounds, cultures and unite them. Seeing Eagles win was fantastic and undescriable. The bonus was though to see Packers beat the crap out of Cowboys.
Here is a short video I recorded by my camera.
So I would like, through this fanpost, to thank city of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Eagles for one of the best weekends in my life. Furthermore all of you guys living in Philadelphia area, should really appreciate it as fans. I am definetly coming back!
P.S. Im a so sad that I didn't meet JimmyK :(. You should know, Im your big fan:)
