Why all of the Kolb Hating?
**Just a warning, I am a Kolb optimist still, and although I do not feel bad for his situation, I understand it.
Obviously Kolbs performance was piss poor on Sunday, but a bad game does not define him (His performance in the 1st game does not even count).
Even though he is a professional athlete does not mean he is not human. Think about it. He was the starting QB for less than 10 pass attempts, get injured, gets named the starter ,and a day later he gets denounced as a starter. Thats gotta be a crushing blow. Since 5 has been traded, he has thought that he was the starting QB, and basically gets denounced as the starter without much of a chance. That has to be a crushing blow to his confidence, as well as his work ethic leading up to this past Sunday.
I am not justifying his poor performance this past week but am simply stating that he still has the talent and the potential.
Give him a week to prepare for the 49ers, instead of reminiscing on his lost spot as the starting QB, he will be able to study the secondary, read the defense, and so on. There was a reason that he threw for over 300 yards in his first two starts last season. Granted, they were poor pass defenses, he still had the entire week to prepare for them, knowing that he was going to be the starting QB, and performed how a good QB should against those teams.
Basically, don't jump ship quite yet...
