Eagles-Titans Friday Injury Report

Could Riley Cooper play a significant role this Sunday?

No real surprises here for the EaglesDeSean Jackson (concussion) will be out this week following the frightening hit he received from Dunta Robinson last week.  However, some encouraging news is that Riley Cooper is probable in DeSean Jackson's absence, as he continues to recover from a concussion of his own, suffered Week 4 vs. the Redskins.  The Titans starting corners, Cortland Finnegan and Alterraun Verner, are both 5'10.  Don't be surprised if the 6'3, 220 pound Cooper gets his share of looks in the passing game on Sunday if the Eagles think they can exploit that size advantage. Michael Vick remains "questionable" with his rib cartilage injury.  Kevin Kolb has already been named the starting QB by Andy Reid.

For the Titans, the starting QB has still yet to be named by Titans head coach Jeff Fisher.  My gut is telling me it's Kerry Collins.  Also of note is that Kenny Britt was involved in an altercation at a nightclub this week, which caused him to miss practice today (h/t to captain nodar for the find).  Britt has a TD catch in each of the last 4 games.

I heard that Britt might not play due to discipline reasons, and today that Scaife and Young might not play advantage Eagles defense

You could argue both ways that Collins or Young in as QB would benefit the birds.

MARK IT ZERO.

So Peters is out, whos Dunlap lining up against this week? Should we be worried?

Aaaand

Rangers are going to the World Series.

I’m gonna go kill myself now.

I didn’t think a lot of people really cared about the Rangers either way, why do you say that?

Why

Rangers are an exciting team, rather it be them than the Yankees

Hahaha

I’ve lived almost my whole life here in NY. And my dad fell in love with the Yanks the day he first came to NY from Bangladesh, so naturally, I followed.

With that said, I bleed midnight green. I DESPISE the Giants. Sometimes, even more so than the Cowboys.

Meh. Not like they beat anyone to get there. ;)

RIP Jim Johnson, best ever.
Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick combined for the season: 130/201, 64.7 completion%, 1603 yards, 8.0 YPA, 11 TDs, 2 INTs, 103.3 QB rating.

As least Phillies didn’t lose to a franchise that just won their first two post season series ever. :P

Yeah..

I need to give them props. Beating two of the best teams in baseball is pretty crazy. I’m having them win the World Series…makes the Yankees look better in the long run.

I’m having the Rangers winning it in 4. Mostly out of spite.

this is the most excited i’ve been for a game all season. the offense and defense are starting to mold it looks like. if kolb has another solid game this week, he’ll start winning me over.

The Giants bossed the Titans D up and down the field but couldn’t convert and red zone opportunities. The Titans Corners are short and Mac, Avant and Cooper are all of a resonable height. I look for a Good matchup of Celek on Witherspoon too. Kerry Collins has a very quick release which could nullify our pass rush and it has known to leave us pedestrian if we can’t adapt. I like our chances, should be a good hard fought game on both sides.

No Bo Scaife or Kenny Britt? Yes please. I do think Britt will play, he probably just won’t start the game.

by PhilsForever on Oct 23, 2010 12:24 PM EDT reply actions

Collins is manageable, Young is more of a challenge, but it seems that Collins will start so that’s a plus for us. Celek and Coop should get us at least 1 or 2 tds combined.

I’m new here and look forward to reading the insight from others that bleed green as i do. The squad is gelling well, and it should continue to do so against a team that really poses just one threat.
