Trade Deadline Comes and Goes Without a Peep
According to Jason LaCanfora, no further trades will be made around the NFL until 2011. For those of you who were waiting for a blockbuster deal, you'll just have to settle for the Bell-for-Harrison swap of last week.
UPDATE [5:28pm]:Okay, there was one trade, but it involved the Chiefs shipping DE Alex Magee to Tampa Bay for an exchange of 2011 draft picks. Whoop-de-doo.

You say that it was a meaningless trade now...
But you’ll see when Alex Magee leads Tampa to the Super Bowl with his dominant defense!
Say what you want about Football vs. Baseball (and other sports)
I think football beats other sports in nearly every way.
But the trade deadline is pathetic. Its a complete non-story. The NFL needs to work on making it easier for teams to move contracts. There is nothing better (in the baseball world) than July 31st, waiting to see who moved where…
